SPOILER My 5 Least Favorite 1.20 Quests

5: Iron Heart Part 1: The CT took one of the most compelling and mysterious boss fights, and made it quite possibly the most prominent example of plot armor in all of Wynn. What was once a mystery, is now flat out boring.

4: A Feathers Fly Part 2: Corkus is my least favorite province, and it fails yet again. The Corkus City parts aren’t just boring, but also plain ugly. The giant plant has no right to be there, and does not blend well with bricks.

3: ROL 5: Ok who thought it was a good idea to absolutely decimate the Realm of Light? Like bitch even the road to dern, which is a FUCKING ROAD is larger than this new place. I don’t hate the gameplay, but the builds are an atrocity.

2: Heart of Llevigar: Somehow, they’ve successfully made the worst quest in the entire game even worse. It makes absolutely no sense for it to be that hard to get in. I don’t hate puzzles, but lorewise the people of Llevigar are idiots. Lagging my computer and having a parasite at the end doesn’t help.

1: Blazing Retribution: The CT took the best quest in all of the mid game, and made it into a crap show. They took the feeling of exploration away from wynncraft. Exploration is the core of Wynn, and they totally ruined it. And it begs the long question, WHY THE FUCK DO YOU SETTLE NEXT TO AN ORC CAMP?

1: AIH2

only 1 quest?
well, yes, because I like/love every other quest from 1.20, especially The Feathers Fly 2 and Forbidden Prison
So, you may ask, why I hate An Iron Heart 2? (I have copied this from other thread I replied to)
I am a huge fan of old AIH2 even tho it was kinda fetchy
You know why?
It was actually brutal and suprising.
In new AIH2 its really obvious whats going on, old quest just made us realise that villagers and golem factory is connected in some way.
And then you go to factory, see blood, body parts and you meet Urelix
My problems with this quest are:
Daxe: His dialogue and golem rage makes ending pretty obvious, imo golem should be moved into factory
Urelix: The thing I loved about him is how hidden he was, when you saw him for the 1st time in old AIH2 it was like: Idk who that guy is but he looks mysterious. Seeing him before the end of the quest makes him less interesting imo.
Factory: I LOVED old factory! Blood, weird machines, cells... It looks really plain now, like normal factory instead of laboratory where villagers are turned into golems.
Yeah, Im not a fan of this quest and I will miss old version

Also, about An Iron Heart 1: New version is imo better than old, it doesnt really tell you that golems=villagers and is much more disturbing

 

Oh, I forgot about forbidden prison. New Lore makes no sense.

5) The boss fight is practically the same, except it's a little bit stronger and more interesting than A Mob With Charge. What do you mean by plot armor?!

4) Haven't done The Feathers Fly, but I feel like you're in the minority on this one.

3) The builds are phenomenal. Just cause it's brightly colored doesn't mean it's worse than old ROL. Yeah, it's smaller, but it also actually has things in it. Old ROL was gigantic, samey in every area, and had absolutely nothing except the same couple of basic, uninspired mobs. Giant and empty or small and lively, I'll take the latter.

2) We didn't change the puzzles. Basically, this got a couple script touchups to a couple of spots and the added parasite and dialogue. I'm unsure of what you're even getting at here.

1) Again, there were barely any changes to the story or events! You go to one less camp now, that's it. You were directed to the camps exactly the same way before, and if that's a problem now why wasn't it a problem before?

I have no idea what you're trying to get at here...

Alright, my criticism about your responses:
AIHP1:
It became WAY better in my opinion. The 1.19 one just had some dude tell you "Hey can u go kill this rq? k thx bai", while this one has way more depth to it. You learn that someone was turned into something against their will, and it ends on a very emotional note. I really love the new one over the old one.

TFFP2:
Part 2 imo was a lot better than part one, and part one is very good, it just proves that Jbip is truly a master of his craft. Corkus City in my opinion looks pretty nice for a town, and I really like the choose-your-own-adventure element in there. Really the only thing I feel like it could've been worked on a bit more was if you had a bonus boss fight after Efena tells you to tell Ava that she's not mad at her and if you chose the Power Armor (That's the secret armor) she basically tries to stop you from hitting the Core (You won't kill her though, I just think that would be a nice indicator that Ava has Dr. Legendary's Armor after all).

RoLP5:
So, the builds. I love the new builds over the old ones. The old ones, while they were slightly colorful, made the Realm of Light feel very bland and dull, and just made it look like a tree-less version of the Light Forest. The one looks super vibrant and beautiful. Orphion's Nexus of Light looks divine and gorgeous, and my description of it to me feels like a massive understatement.

HoL:
Very subtle changes were added, and I tbh, really like the explosions and sparks, as it gives a dire signal that tells you: "Hey! This must be fixed ASAP or else an entire city is doomed", and I really liked that extra touch of the Parasite there. The puzzles are also really enjoyable in my opinion. They're hard, but not so hard that you need to graduate college in 30 minutes with a PhD hard.

BR:
Green Skinned Trouble to me, and a lot of the Wynncraft community, is a pretty forgettable quest. I feel like describing it as the pinnacle of midgame is too generous. The dialogue also got better in my opinion, and removed the fetching element entirely, one camp was removed in lieu of 2 easier camps to navigate. The Blazing Retribution is a massive improvement over Green Skinned Trouble.

Really, none of the reworked quests in 1.20 were bad.

The only reworked quests I have left to complete are:
Rise of the Quartron
Maiden Tower
Crop Failure
Master Piece
Death Whistle
The Shadow of the Beast
The Hidden City (I talked to Thesead's Mayor and that was really the only thing I could do in the new The Hidden City, I think the only rework to the quest were dialogue improvements and reworked Eltom, which is kind of disappointing, but THC is pretty memorable)

I am literally the first person to criticize 1.20 (especially Lari, omg I hate Lari, otherwise most of the update is incredible) but I'm really confused abou this ngl

5) An Iron Heart I is the same quest, but the dialogue is better and the cave/pathway looks a little better
4) Havent played it, many ppl like it
3) Ye the RoL is smaller but the builds Ive seen so far are gorgeous

1) Ahm I played that quest and it is exacly the same. They literally just made the cave look a little better, removed this pressure plate thing that made no sense and added a stick and a potatoe.. I think its a lot better now
