So I'm trying to turn Shaman's aura spell into a nuke, and I need to ask some questions before starting.
    1. Will explosive impact trigger on spells?
    2. Does Infernal Impulse have explosive impact?
    3. Can explosions damage the mob which caused it?

    1. Yes.
    2. No item has explosive impact because it was removed due to balancing reasons. Nobody knows when it comes back, if ever.
    3. Idk

    I wouldn't say it's removed yet.
    Yes

If it does come back, I don't think Infernal Impulse will have it as it already has the Rally Major ID which is really only useful for Warriors as Charge gets turned into a Heal for the player 10% of their HP and nearby allies for 15% of their HP. If any item were to have Explosive Impact, it would be Scarlet Veil most likely and possibly items such as Zero, Apocalypse, Cluster, and probably most fittingly but not as likely, Collapse.

Traditional exploding only activates on a monster's death. Explosive Impact allows hits to explode as long as the item you have has the exploding ID, the chance to get an exploding on hit would most likely depend on the exploding %. Based on this, the last version of Explosive Impact I knew of said that it would create an explosion with 5% the damage of the attack. It basically adds an extra 5% damage to an attack to not just the mob but the surrounding environment. What made it so broken was how it could handle groups. Say for example you have a Collapse with a 20K uppercut and it does an explosion for 5% of its damage, that's an extra 1K right there, putting it at 21K, seems reasonable. Problem is that Collapse has an exploding ID at lowest of 75% to as high as 300%, meaning every hit is an explosion. If you do said Uppercut again but on a group of 10 mobs now, the effect just stacks on top of each other as exploding is an area of attack ID, meaning that if all 10 mobs got hit by a 20K uppercut with Explosive Impact, it would basically add 1K extra damage to based on how many mobs you hit, turning that 20K Uppercut with 10 mobs into a 30K Uppercut... that is what I believe made Explosive Impact so terrifying. Originally, Explosive Impact was meant to deal full exploding damage on a hit, meaning you could have done double damage to a single enemy and, using the analogy I just used, that could have effectively turned it from 20K to basically 220K, The Eye, Qira, and Dr. Legendary would have been envious of that power. So, in short, if you had the Explosive Impact Major ID, then I'd say yes.
