Lazarus Pit Broken

I was doing the lazarus pit quest and i got up to the dude that requires you to go to his cat, so i did that but i told him his cat was dead, so i then killed him because it spawned an angry mob and nothing happened, so then i did what was supposed to be the 4th blessing but because i didnt get the 3rd blessing for the cat guy, i cant go into the crypt/tomb bit at the chapel so i cant finish the quest, have any idea on how to fix? Yes i have tried going to the cat and coming back or reviving him but his npc is just there and i cant interact or anything
