SPOILER Warrior's Charge Go Brrr In 1.20

So I have no idea what's actually caused this change or if it was on purpose, and I would recommend you try it yourself, but...

(The video isn't the best example, I recommend you try it yourself. It's very fun.)

Seemingly warriors charge as much more vertical potential than before,
What's interesting is it isn't that charge takes you higher, but that spamming charge seems more effective now in 1.20.

I've been able to get 9 blocks on my warrior with no int or mana cost on the beta at most so far,
On 1.19 I can get 4 or 5 if it's somewhat laggy.

 

Yeah, I noticed that too, really cool change, glad you made a forum thread about it

It's basically exactly what charge needed to be a decent travel spell

Also, I was almost able to get up to the airship above Detlas just using tidebinder. It's very cool
I agree that it's really fun

So, I've been trying to fly on beta, and it's kind of worked?
I think I need more - mana cost for bash or war scream.

great now all we need is some brave soul to have a idol and time rift with some crazy mana regen and ......maybe... warrior can go to space

I'm like 90% sure this is just server lag, Charge feels exactly the same in every way, it just happens to have moments where you get flung upward much more than usual.

I can't imagine that it would be entirely the same if it was anything more than just lag causing it to happen more frequently, there'd most likely be some noticeable difference, it goes exactly the same height in most cases, it's just doing the bigger jump more often.

If any ct can confirm there was an actual change that'd be nice to at least be aware of though.

 

You can still gain height thanks to the update.

No idea, as far as I know, it was a hard nerf.

 

you can fly much easier because it no longer cancels spell click combos
also imo its a buff for not flying too (exept for shaman totem casting)
