Professions Confusion.....

I'm really confused about how professions such as weaponsmithing affect the item being crafted. From my knowledge (which could be very wrong), higher levels in weaponsmithing unlock the higher tier ingredients, but stats such as spell dmg and durability aren't changed, as long as you have already unlocked it.

This is confusing to understand---let me give you an example.

If I wanted to craft an item with x material and y ingredient, and the level requirement for using the ingredient is level 50, as long as I have reached weaponsmithing level 50, what I craft should be no different compared to me crafting it with weaponsmithing 100 (Assuming same tiers of items being used). Is this correct or wrong information? If it's wrong, what benefits does having a higher tier of weaponsmithing grant?

 

To my knowledge, yes considering the materials determine what lvl the item. I think there's a soft cap at how high it should really go tbh. I'm not the most experienced with crafting thou so I hope someone wiser scoots along.

 

Technically, Yes. Ingredient effects do not change when using different material level.
But remember, the items base attack /health/durability depends on the material level, while the extra stats depend on the ingredients.
