Yeah, the title's a fancy way of me summarizing my dilemma.

Thing is, ideally, I'd be able to just grind through Wynncraft, gain 'basic knowledge' of the game which I 'need to seek out myself,' according to more experienced forumers. But, I can't, because me and a member of my family have to share the computer which I use for all things PC gaming. Y'know, virus situation complications.

That said, not only am I not able to access said PC setup as often for Wynncrafting, but when I can, I just can't find the will in me to, well, actually play Wynncraft. Maybe it's because I'm one of the very rare exceptions to the vast majority of people who legitimately find playing and grinding through the game interesting, but I'll often choose to binge YouTube stuff and play other games over Wynncraft.

I would like to get into foruming and stuff more seriously, rather than have my points constantly deflected all the time, but I can't, due to the above mentioned general lack of will to sit through the grind to late-game. I don't want to leave the game, since I've hardly properly experienced it, but I can't find a real subconscious reason to continue playing, because nothing particularly sparks my interests.

I could easily just binge through the Wynncraft guides and playthroughs on YouTube, but...eh, those really don't seem like they'd offer much in the way of personal experience with the nuances and complexities of Wynncraft, being documentations of others' experiences with the game.

In reality, I'm bored, but I love the concepts of a good Minecraft-built RPG, and Wynncraft really does offer an experience which I have yet to see anywhere else.

So, what can I do, as a once-in-awhile player? How can I get into the competitive aspects, such as Class Building and proper suggesting, without being able to play the game all that often?

If somebody could answer these questions of mine (or at least attempt to), I'd very much appreciate the favor!

Idk how much I can help, since I never had that problem. I also really love the rpg style gamemode in Minecraft, and I love rpg games in general.
For me, the biggest appeal of Wynncraft was the story, and the quests.
During my first playthrough, I based my armor choices off what gave the most health, and my weapons on what did the most neutral damage pretty much, so you could say I didn’t know much about items.

I love doing quests. I love the story, even though I’m not great with lore. I love the cinematic stuff they somehow manage to do in Minecraft. That’s how I found the urge to open Minecraft and keep playing, and progress to endgame.
(Ofc it’s different for everyone, that’s just me. :) )
It also helps a bit I didn’t know much about endgame and what it offered, I just wanted to do quests. :)

When I felt a little burned out redoing quests, I went on the forums and started interacting with the community a bit more.
Because of this, I learned more about classbuilding and what stats did, I learned more about the game itself, and so much more.

(It also helps that the community is just genuinely super nice :) )

I started a craftsman and Ironman class (separate classes, I’m bad at the game) and this really helped me want to play more.

this feels really off-topic, so straying back to my point, honestly the only advice I can give is to enjoy the game.

The item system is very intricate, and there’s so many items it’s so hard to keep track, (For me at least) and there is just so much that goes into each one, I can’t even fathom how they do it.

That’s why, usually, you play Wynncraft for the story, and then learn the technical stuff behind it, when you begin to take on challenges like Li, and EO.

If you can’t play the game for very long, my advice is to play whenever you can. Do a quest, or explore. Don’t focus too much on the mechanics of it until endgame, because at that point you’ve reached a level where you can use a lot of items with ID’s like Sorcery, and understand how they work. (Prob a bad example, again my perspective and my experience.)

Take your time, enjoy the game, see what it has to offer before trying to change it. Write your ideas when you get them, and when you have more experience look back and edit them.

Wanted to say that this is my perspective, as someone who probably will never understand the item system very well, and just really loves the idea of quests and rpg elements and stuff. Take my advice with a grain of salt, that’s just my experience but I hope it helps you a bit. :)

I've had a similar situation, I played until 40 where the game got stale and I quit for a few months. I picked it back up in November, and my advice would be to not do quests. Instead, use grind spots and join dungeon parties. I leveled from 1 to 103 in 3 days on my second class just doing that. Join the bombs tracker discord to get notified when partys happen,

I was going to suggest looking into the lore in order to understand what you might go on to play later.
