Theory: Corkus = U.s.a. (not Germany!)

It's completely wrong in every aspect for several reasons.

1. Doctor Legendary is a German scientist
While He is german, that plays more into him moving to America, before World War 2 most German scientists fled from Germany to the US. They worked extensively on the Manhatten project and in the Apollo missions to just name a few.

2. The Corkians forced the Avos onto a reservation.
This can be considered a hint to the Native American Reservations that Native Americans were forced onto in the 19th century and 20th centuries. These Reserves still exist to this day and can be considered walled off from the rest of the US.

3. American engineering is known around the planet.
American engineering has shaped the world as we know it, especially when it comes to electrical engineering. While German engineering is known around the world too, However, the US is also the leader for Aerospace and many other branches of engineering. This includes mechanical engineering, which would be the dominant branch of engineering in corkus.

4. Corkus was colonized by people fleeing from Fruma.
This is another big hint to it being America. The American colonizers fleed from Great Britain to get away from the British Monarch and to get away from the tax. THE SAME REASON THE CORKIANS FLEED FROM FRUMA.

 

Just like that guy from Captain America 2, now if only the Antikythera supercomputer was german, hmmm.

The USA isn't an island

here's my theory: everyone is overthinking this and it's just a made-up fictional place based on the imaginations of the developers

 

For:

Spoiler: 1.20 stuffs

in TFFT I you sneak into a corkian house heavily guarded by mechanical armaments. In Germany, a lock suffices but the Americans require a similar amount of military grade weapons to do the job of a simple lock as the corkians do.

Against: there are a lot of Americans on here thinking that high tech = American, when in reality high tech could be an argument for ~50% of the world’s countries

 

This theory is ridiculous and definitely isn't true
