Is Assassin Viable

Shaman and archer are a bit too glass cannon for my liking so i want to switch to assassin since mage is easy mode and warrior is apparently REALLY bad

 

Yes, assassin is usually considered the most balanced class.

 

All classes are good. Warrior is a little weaker but can still solo all of the content. I agree though mage is boring.

 

Assassin is viable

Assassin is sleek and a balanced class overall. Mage is just overrated and Warrior gets boring after some time. Archer is nice but you need a hell of a lot of heal potions and Shaman is gonna be trash after 1.20.

I'd suggest Assassin and probably Archer or Warrior tied for second place once 1.20 comes out

I actually don't know exactly what happening, but something will change with the Shaman and ccl mobs which will make the class worse than warrior

 

Shaman:
- Uproot now deals 100% damage instead of 50%
- Totem now last for 15s instead of 20s
- Totem area of affect is now 8 blocks radius instead of 10
- Totem healing went from 4% to 3%

Some mobs(mostly bosses) will now have Crowd Control Immunity which means that you cant aura lock them anymore which is why a lot of people are saying that shaman is now really bad. However, Shaman isn't just all aura prison spell spam. There are other types of builds that are basically not as affected by CCI like melee and/or hybrid which means that you don't have to 100% rely on aura spamming for dmg :)

In the end, saying that a class is bad/better than (x) class will always be mostly subjective. They're different classes sure but you can't say that one class is objectively worse just because you don't have fun with it

 

Kinda sad but also relieved they're doing this cause honestly shaman was pretty broken to begin with, and I don't even remember the last time my aura prison cooperated properly anyways

 

Are there any other class changes?

 

warrior will get uppercut base mana cost lowered by 1 (or 2?)

 

From what I've seen it looks like Warrior's uppercut and mage's teleport get a bit more AoE
