    i heard some things about archer being nerfed in 1.20 is this true or just a rumor

    Shaman has been nerfed a bit, but to my knowledge Archer is untouched, Warrior might also get a buff.

    hawkeye nerf is indirectly nerfing archer since it was so meta centralising

    Im not Fleega but,
    Shaman:
    - Uproot now deals 100% damage instead of 50%
    - Totem now last for 15s instead of 20s
    - Totem area of affect is now 8 blocks radius instead of 10
    - Totem healing went from 4% to 3%

    And Haul no longer hits when first pulling you towards the totem, only dealing damage on landing, removing some combos.
    A new feature in 1.20 also breaks Uproot and causes certain mobs to be unable to get hit by it entirely, despite its ability to still activate the explosion when it reaches their position.

    Hawkeye was half the reason Archer was so good, and it got nerfed

    The range advantage that archer has is always going to make it the best as long as it can deal as much, or at least close to as much dps as the other classes.

    Plus it's spells are really good, not just in terms of damage but also in terms of synergy. Arrow shield makes you super tanky at the cost of mana allowing you to focus on single targets and get up close and arrowstorm and arrowbomb which when used together can basically pin any mob to a wall while you alternate the two. Even if its damage was cut in half, archer would still be at the very least good, not great but probably still playable (though maybe less fun).
