But healing pots are finite, and uses up inventory slots, okr technically also does but it’s one ring for sustain as long as there are mob, weak or strong...

 

pots are controllable. okr relies on good mobility in order to actually retrieve the healing emeralds it creates, which aren't ideal for a few reasons:

• higher ehp builds that could make use of its healing tend to have lower ws
• mobs can use unavoidable cc spells to deny them from you at critical moments
  
• mobs can use unavoidable cc spells to exhaust them when they don't benefit you

also items external to a build have a utility advantage because they don't compete with items that are actually in the build. in light of 1.20, okr directly conflicts with bcata and competes for slots with intensity, draoi and a number of int/mr options (exacerbated by dhy neck nerf)

 

Every class have a way to deal with that except no?
Archer bomb/shield
Assassin multi/vanish/spin
warrior charge/bash
Mage icesnake/tp
Shaman aura lock
I don’t feel like picking an emerald healing 10% max health is going to be hard to control
As for black catalyst, they are only temporary switch and remember you can easily switch back to them after hitting mob and dropping emerald(you still heal even after putting ring away)

readily accessing one when you need it is difficult compared to pots

using either form of healing for casual sustain is actually crazy
temporary okr defeats the point of being able to use it in the middle of combat

 

It’s not instant, there’s time and sound doing so,
which lets you do the thing I mentioned earlier.
Yes pot is instant but it is limited in doing so, have charges and take up inventory space

 

Health pots also make you lose gamer points

Also, bcata is really really competitive with okr in 1.20, it might actually make okr less blacklisted
