    chances are 100%; not because I know the reason, (I was gone while that was being made), but because it's such an in-character thing for the CT to do that it's impossible to be anything else

    (Other examples of this happening are Saltedpog being actually on-map, Femboy orcs, and probably a ton of other things i'm forgetting)

    Additionally, Therck Stairs is another invention courtesy of @ConquistadorBob , and the idea of that was to make Therck extremely hard to miss for newbies, cause a lot of the time they would just walk right past him without realizing. The stairs create a landmark that's very difficult to ignore.

    Honestly though, although its funny for old players and for the meme, it looks a bit out of place and because this is one of the first things new players will do, I'm a little concerned they're too out of place. But whatever its funny so...

    I personally think the stairs are really ugli but it seems the meme was stronger than the emerald trails desire to be beautiful
    Those stairs are kinda weird

    i get that the stairs were literally supposed to stick out like a sore thumb so that new players dont walk past Therck, but it just looks so out of place. There isnt any other crumbling stone buildings around that the stairs would connect to. All of the surrounding buildings are made out of wood, unlike the stairs which are stone. They couldn't have built a flag or something that would be hard to ignore but also not look completely out of place?
