    I've already spent too much time fighting this thing. It's a brutal boss, especially if you play archer. Luckily I have access to warrior and the newly buffed hero, so the boss's mechanics were kinda helpful. It is still hard to beat, that being said.

    Arena: the entry is through the altar located below the road to the AHC npc. There's an invisible bridge marked by purple particles. Don't fall off. I've already seen it happen 5 times. The altar requires 6 soul essences. Farm them around the dark obelisk, very easy with the new totem functions. Upon entering you spawn really high up and fall to the ground. This doesn't actually do damage, but it looks like it since landing triggers the removal of 99% of your health. You follow a small dark passage to the boss arena itself, which is about the size of the the matrojan arena. Not large at all.

    Boss: the boss has several spells it uses as well as 3 "arena traps". Its spells are wave, teleport, explosion and push. push and teleport don't deal damage but the teleport + explode combo is deadly. Wave is dangerous by default as i'll soon explain. The arena itself has 3 dangerous features: 1, it takes away 99% of you health every 5 seconds. this is like getting wretched in EO but worse and unavoidable. It is 99% of your current health so you can go from 14k --> 140 --> 1hp in 10s. Health pots, or good sustain are very useful even for builds like rage abuse hero and gma. 2, panic circles. these look like the explosive circle from EO but with better particles. they appear in sets of 3-4 across the arena. Landing in them causes a spamming of red PANIC! dialogue, as well as short blindness and ~10s of slowness (-jump boost slowness, so press jump key or use movement spells here, this changes to regular slowness after ~3s). On top of this are the panic lasers (creative names aren't my strong suit) they appear across the centre of the arena as a purple beam. Clones of the Panic zealot also move along the beams and if they hit you, they'll blind you and trigger more panic dialogue. There is also something that casts weakness but I haven't been able to pin this something down. It also seems that the fight gets progressively harder. The panic lasers only start appearing after the boss reaches 50% health, and attacks become increasingly more frequent. The boss does perform combo attacks, which become more regular during the fight. The ones I've been able to figure out are a chain of 3-4 waves; push-teleport-explode (similar to cybel honestly); and a rapid teleporting move.

    In terms of strategy and preparation, bring HP pots for your first time unless you want to tryhard ETW or sth (not looking at anyone in particular). Mage and shaman have an advantage, especially healing based builds like abso, since they remove the advantages of the boss. The boss's attacks do not do that much damage themselves, but rely on the player having health in the single digits. The whole point of this is to make the player panic and die. Stay calm and watch the boss and arena for attacks. The zealot doesn't seem to regen health at all so like the Eye, you own the clock.

    - anxiolytic (legendary leggings)
    - dissociation (rare helmet)

    Not too sure how easy it is to invert stuff in alchemy, but inverting that might make for some insane potions.

    Overall probably not worth the effort though unless it gets some other insane drops too.

    Even with Nighthawk nerf where it just halves the damage of arrow storm, it'll still be better than regular arrow storm. Higher range and higher DPS still.

    When I tried to join the boss altar it instantly killed me during the fall. 10/10 best boss altar.
