When do you think Gavel Reborn Hero Beta will come out? They said late November or at worst early December. Things must not be going well since it's getting into mid-December. When do you think it will come out? Best wishes to the CT.

 

Colin confirmed things weren't going well a couple days ago so I wouldn't get your hopes up of having it any time soon.

"We've run into a number of preliminary issues in our staff-only beta which is why HB hasn't come out yet. For HB to be a successful experience, we had to fix some urgent bugs (a few of which were lag related)."

 

It's genuinely hard to tell. If it was something huge that had gone wrong (to the point where it would be delayed by weeks or months), then Salted would likely inform us that the Beta will not be out when he'd predicted -so I don't think it's too far away.

On the other hand, Salted said that the worst-case scenario was early December, and we're nearly past that, so if this is worse than "at worst", then it must be quite bad.

I think it's very, very likely that it will be out in December still, in fact, probably in the next few days or maybe next weekend. If it was going to be delayed until January, we'd probably be informed (we might still be, who knows).

 

ahem, through all of my carefully-constructed theory and prediction skills, I can not confidently tell you it will be released on the 13th.

 

It's possible that nothing serious went wrong, and how long it would take was just underestimated. I think that Hero Beta will be out before Christmas, at the very least.

Well, based on previous years, it should have been today, but I would still say that it is early December (i.e. 1-10 early, 10-20 mid, 20-30 late as an approximation), so I would say it will hopefully come out in the next 3-5 days.

 

I don't think it really matters, the community is already messed up.

Salted just mentioned on his twitter that the beta is (likely) tomorrow, but this is wynncraft, so stuff can always be delayed.

I kinda am hoping for wednesday, friday, or next weekend. Mainly because I don't want to wait a day before getting to play it

when it comes out i will temporarily exile myself from the forums to avoid spoilers. if you see me in game, don't bother talking to me. i will have chat turned off.

P.S. Is there a command that disables player chat and shouts? I don't want to be enjoying a new quest when I see a shout saying ''Lari dies'' or something like that. I still want to read quest dialogue.

 

I didn't think of this. Luckily for some reason I messed up wynntils and now it doesn't show anything in chat by default. I think its possible to do with wynntils. Definitely not with vanilla unless you found a way to prevent certain colors of text from displaying with a resource pack
