Vanish Flying Using Assassin

vanish is quite good but escape is still the best if you know how to use it, you can travel further than vanish in every single direction (simply let go of your weapon in midair and you fall normally, allowing you to adjust your fall- if youre worried about fall damage, archer can fall damage cancel with escape too) and goes faster horizontally than any other class outside of mage through horizontal escape usage (escape and jump at roughly the same time and you go nearly straight horizontal after a 1 block or so hop up, its faster than a white horse when done right and consistently)

edit: for purely movement tele is obviously best but escape allows more fine tuning which i enjoy + it has the crazy blind for combat

 

The main issue I have with escape spell is the forced upward movement. Navigating things like caves where the roof is not flat means you get caught in the cracks every single time you use your escape spell. As for the escape canceling, that resets powder special items which is really annoying sometimes

 

That's just a matter of skill. If you time it right, you can Escape at just about any angle, including horizontally skipping along.

 

But if you miss the llevigar launch pad thing you die because it's the only move spell that can't be cast mid air

 

Still, you can:
a) try to fall into the water
b) precisely time the escape so you don't take fall damage.

Also, this is a bug and doesn't count

 

Wow ok didn't mean to start an argument about movement spells
@Druser and @TrapinchO both have a point, Escape is very useful in 80% of situations. Vanish is useful 70% of the time, and Teleport 60%. However, the 20% that Escape doesn't cover does show sometimes. (Not being able to cast it easily midair and not being very precise), and Teleport beats these by far when you're aiming for precision.

 

1) There isn't always a convenient water pool to land in
2) This also happens in other places, but llevigar is where it happens the most

On a side note I wonder if mlg boating or horse riding is possible

 

Horse yes, just look up and click twice quickly in midair (or once with wynntils horse thing). I've never tried with boats, but you would have to have really precise timing to place it before you hit the ground.

You can cast escape tp stop you from fall damage, but it is quite hard

I did.
When I was writing it, I though that Idol was one of the few items with -2n spell %.
When it was nerfed I thought it is impossible, because the time you need to reset the cost (both casting and waiting) is propably higher tham the time it takes to fall.

Now I have looked up some items and know that it is possible
