drabble (n): A short piece of writing (usually fanfiction but sometimes original), usually no more than a 1000 words (although length is debatable) and often not bearing any real direction or plot. Drabbles are more often used to make a point about the characters or events involved, or to provide an introspection or specific point of view. (Courtesy of Urban Dictionary)

    Decrepit Sewers

    U
nable to escape the oncoming corruption that swept the province like a giant wave, the survivors hid in the sewers of Ragni, to seek refuge from the anomaly that threatened to consume them alive. In these sewers, was born Robert (better known as Bob), a pale - almost gray skinned - child, from an unnamed mother who has perished soon after. Following her burial, over a century later, the corpse was reanimated by the corruption - leaking into the sewers, and creating a deadly force that nobody could deal with. The sewers were shut off, and after complaints from sewage backflow caused by a blockage, a junior officer was sent to investigate the issue - leading to the unsealing of the Sewers.

    Infested Pit

    A
rakadicus, the Broodmother of a very large den of spiders, has chosen Mt. Wynn for several reasons - its a finely geothermal area in Wynn, right next to a dormant volcano, and it is deep and dark underground, perhaps not to be disturbed by daylight. The pit claimed hundreds, if not more, of Nivla's denizens; several officers were sent to exterminate the infestation threat in Nivla Forest, as if let to grow, Arakadicus' brood will take over the entire area.

    Lost Sanctuary

    G
aroth, consumed by the corruption from the Nether, retained his sanity only for a short while more, conducting experiments on the creatures hidden deep underneath the world. As his sanity slipped further, the subjects of his search switched from the corruption's effects on living beings, to living beings themselves. The sanctuary was lost for want of twisted experiments, and the entrance was buried with solid rock - impenetrable to all, except the force of nature itself.

    Underworld Crypt

    C
haron, the Ferryman of the deceased, once led a massive invasion force on Ancient Nemract, taking part in its complete wipeout. Following the destruction and desolation of the once populous and bustling city, the survivors created a second "Nemract" close to the oceanic shores, fighting hordes from their previous settlement as they tried to make a name for themselves as a trade and sailor town. Today, the mass grave is yawning wide, accepting all those who wish to ride Charon's boat to their impending demise.

    Sand-Swept Tomb

    A
thousand years ago, a young prince named Hashr claimed a mysterious Scepter from the former ruler of the Almuj Desert - the Emperor of Sand. In doing so, he doomed the entire desert civilization to be buried deep within the dunes, with unnatural sandstorms ravaging even the transition between the Mesa and the Desert. The Scepter has finally found its way back home, and Emperor Hashr has been awakened from his eternal slumber, to face they who have returned their symbol back "home".

    Ice Barrows

    T
heorick, following the frost that claimed Nesaak, buried himself into a frozen cave - slowing down, if not halting the spread of corruption inside his body. Unfortunately, it did not stop the corruption from claiming him permanently - knowing that his demise, either from the corruption slowly spreading within his body, mind and soul, or at the hands of the rising Hero was approaching. He lost all of his former prowess, and remained a bitter shell of his former self, trapped in the glacier he had locked himself in.

    Undergrowth Ruins

    S
lykaar, the shamanic "hero" of Troms, was banished for his research of life and attempts to create an army with the life force of sacrificed citizens to defend the city. He created a domain for himself to continue his researches, all ending in slimes, to create an army once again - only this time, to wipe Troms off the map, for their "betrayal". A "just punishment" for abandoning Slykaar for a genuine hero in Bob.

    Galleon's Graveyard

    C
aptain Redbeard was one of the greatest pirates to ever live, and very few could dare protest this claim. His fame had spread far and wide, and he soon became the Pirate Lord of the Ocean. Alas, the seas giveth, the seas taketh away - his life soon ended, and he was buried in Lost Atoll, where his undead body continued to terrorize the seas with the tale that goes as follows: Whosoever seeks out the legendary Captain Redbeard will one day find his booty, and rule the Ocean as the true heir of his legends.

    Fallen Factory

    C
erid constructed the Factory in order to produce mechs at a breakneck pace, as a display of their technological might over all other provinces. However, his decision to create the Monument of Corkus backfired on him, as the AI governing the production of the mechs - The Antikythera Supercomputer - became sentient, and turned on its creators. Now, the factory has fallen in disrepair, but it continues to churn out new mechs, terrorizing the entire island, and straining the relationship between the Humans and the Avos even further.

    Eldritch Outlook

    A
mysterious, tall structure - quite possibly the tallest in the entire world - granting the view of not just the Silent Expanse, but everything within eye's reach in Wynn. An entity of darkness, The Eye of The Beast, scours upon the province, to watch over the province with its piercing gaze, and to watch any and all attempts to escape. It guards the sole entrance to Dern, which is widely speculated to either be an entrance to the Realm of Darkness, a province within, or the Realm of Darkness itself.

Final note: None of these stories add anything new to the lore. They're retellings of the Dungeon intros on the website.

Please do not necropost. Necroposting is "reviving" dead threads (posting a comment on threads that did not receive a reply in over 30 days), and is generally frowned upon.

Because of this, the thread will now be closed.
