Considering Getting Back Into Wynncraft

I’ve been considering playing wynncraft again and I wanted to know if I should. Assassin is my favorite class and I’d probably play it. How important are crafted items vs dropped ones? Is assassin so bad currently that there’s no point in playing? Is assassins mobility better or will I need to grab a horse out of my bank?

 

Assassin is pretty good right now, its mobility is fine so if you want to grab a horse you could, and you don’t need to worry at all about crafted unless you want a massive grind

 

Crafted items are mostly bad until you hit level 100+, then they become really good. That being said, don't do professions, they're a huge waste of time.

As for if you should play or not, idk, it's a fun game I guess, if you like it you like it and if you don't you don't. If your only concern is if assassin is good or not I've got some good news as assassin is probably the second best class and mobility is really good.

 

Assassin is one of the best classes now, but I would still recommebd getting horse (not because it spell is terrible, but it isn't meant for travel)

On your first playthrough (or your first one when you return) you should definitely skip professions.
They bring really bad grind to the game, although they can produce better items sometimes.
They are completely unnecessary too.

i might be biased but the game is worth coming back to in my opinion. now's a better time more than ever, since gavel reborn will be coming out soon.
assassin actually had a mobility buff last update, so that's fun. though a horse might be viable for you to get if you feel the need.
crafted items aren't at all necessary in my opinion. you can get an affordable and decent build for far less money and time using normal items. if you need help on that front as well there's an entire cult community based on making class builds, so.

How good is the assassin mobility now? Scale of 1-10 with 10 being mage and 1 being old assassin.

vertically it's absurdly strong
horizontally they increased the speed effect on vanish from 3 to 5 so it really reflects your ws

Better than tp, gives 80% strength while vanished +2 seconds after (iirc tier II) and more!

Assassin got omega-buffed in mobility in the last few updates, that is all I can say
Also, dropped items tend to be just as good if not better than crafted and are also much easier to get
Professions in general are completely optional and if you don't like grinding, you should forget about them
Assassin is fun yes

 

Assassin basically got a full rework into a combo focused class. Vanish got a full rework and is now basically the core of the assassin’s kit; it’s much more mobile, especially if you have walk speed bonuses. It also gives an 80% damage boost for a couple seconds after you unvanish. It’s probably the second best class overall

 

Yes you are biased.
Shaman is much better because spamming aura will kill anything within about 5 seconds.
Yes, archer is good, but the haul spell is much more intuitive than escape for moving around.
Also, Shaman's totem spell heals you and does repeating damage.
Anyway, that's my opinion and you are welcome to have your own.

 

Shaman may be strongest but not best.
Shamabs can be braindead and still play very well (I am not saying you are)

 

But what's wrong with that?
