Edit: The middle four tome slots have the words “Protection From Evils” as a single phrase. Thanks @Kiocifer for clarifying. There are also the rune symbols for the five different runes on different parts of the design. Those might be important or they might just be there for looks. There’s also the crown-looking thing in the slot at the top under Gifts of Many, which might mean it’s an important slot that has a very specific type of tome placed there. As has been said below, it’s fairly clear what kind of tomes will go in the xp slots and mob killer slots. The protection from evils will probably hold defensive tomes that give health, regen, def, etc. The two that definitely warrant discussion are the Guild Breaker and Gifts of Many slots.

So I'm guessing that these are the types of things tomes can do? Looks like defence, damage, combat and gather xp, loot related stuff, and guild related stuff

 

Here's what I think.
Mob Killer: Attributes related to mobs, e.g. damage output
Protection: Defense
Guild Breaker: Buffs to guilds, perhaps changes to warring?
Gather Xp, Dungeon Xp and Xp from mobs: obvious
From Evils: Maybe super-powerful tomes that also give negative effects?

Bumpers. Anyone have any thoughts on the Gifts of Many or Guild Breakers slots? Also, given that the tomes we've seen so far have been +dmg% to mobs, how would people feel about tomes with -dmg taken% for defensive tomes rather than +health, hpr, def/agi sp, etc? It kind of feels to me that once you get tomes you'll be much more powerful and can thus take on raids more easily, but given that teamwork is seemingly going to be very important, I'm not sure that will really be the case. Only time will tell.
