When we level we mercilessly slaughter thousands of creatures

Including bandits. The bandits are only trying to make a living in the expensive world of Gavel. And when they die they drop emeralds. We are killing the lower class for money. We, (the bourgeois) must be prepared for the rising of the PROLETARIAT.

 

Let's not forget we disrupt the entire food supply of what we have been told to be HALF of Gavel. HALF of an entire province has major food problems that could take years to solve, but we justify it because we saved a few animals and mindless barbarians that we slaughtered to wear their skin as a hat a few days before.
The best part is, we already know how to get nearly unlimited food. Just reverse-engineer Strato's bait and get as much Mythic Everlasting Pufferfish as you could want! But NO! We leave half of an entire province to starve for who knows how long because we're too lazy to help them. Too busy going to Thanos to rob their bank and make sure there isn't a species in Gavel that won't hate humans when we're done with the place.

I 100% agree, you do some good within the game but theres so much murder, theft, animal cruelty, trespassing, it's hard to finish a quest when you have to be a horrible person to do it

Also on a daily basis we kill the citizens of most cities/towns (mainly Detlas), yet for some reason they don’t try to attack us in return
