The New Rank Is Absolute Pay To Win

No silverlining, its borderline p2w thats pure unfair for nons
The vip, vip+ and hero ranks are more or less balanced and I like them, the thing I complained about hero and stuff are that they have more market slots and character slots for storage, but it isnt that bad

Now the new rank, the new champion rank will have these tiny, insignificant little changes:

1. /switch command to instantly go to a different server
2. instant class deletion
3. Merchant boots on-Map
4. Bomb Bell
5. Character Nickname
6. Reserved slots

1: Instant server switch. Switching to server is always tedious, if someone shouts that they are dropping 50 item bombs on a certain wc, its difficult to get in, but till now it didnt matter what rank you were, if you were fast and good enough, you could get in. But champion will be able to get in in seconds giving no chance to anyone who doesnt have the rank.

2. Instant class deletion. its an easy way to make money out of good ingredients you get out of quests, while they are not tradeable, people who have the prof level to craft with them can sell them for profit, old treasures, familiar essences, weakening catalysts, are all ingredients that are necessary for ingredients for items that are worth a lot of le, example lootbonus accessories, 12 le, exp potions, 20+ le, 10 mana rgn helm, 1 stx. But not farmable since class deletion can take days for nons. But champions can farm them without thinking twice.
Edit: I see that insta class deletion has a limit every day, but it still doesnt change the fact that it can delete multiple classes that would take days to delete every day. farming quest ingredients with champion will still be far more effective than without champion

3. Merchant boots on-map. I dont know what it is, skip

4. Bomb Bell. Didnt the mods tell the Wynntils creators to not implement an automatic bomb tracker because it was too unfair for people who were not using Wynntils back in the day? Well I guess now you can just pay for that instant bomb tracker. The bomb tracker discord will become a lot less useable, since before someone posts that there will be lootbombs or prof bombs, the champions will instantly get there much faster than anyone who doesnt have the rank.

5. Character Nickname: Nothing bad here

6. Reserved slots: In my opinion, this is the most p2w feature. Being able to get into Wcs without having to worry about the servers being full is just, its brutal. Till now you could still get into Wcs with 50 people that had bombs if you just spammed the wc long enough, but with the champion rank, even if someone leaves, the wc will have more than 50 players meaning you cant join even if people leave.

Please nerf this rank, its not good for the players who dont want to spend 100$ on a block game

 

I'll agree with 4 and 6 the other seem not really that bad.

 

The only one i agree with is 4. 6 is not that bad because they said there would be a champion cap too, which is still subject to change.

 

For 2:

 

I definitely feel like we need more information about some of these, such as the reserved slots and the on map merchant. However, I don't feel like insta class deletion is any more p2w than having extra slots in terms of grinding quest ingredients (salted also said there would be a limit to these insta deletions). What bothers me the most is the class deletion backups, because if class inventories are preserved, champions get an extra 5 characters to store ingredients on. Reserved slots to me sounded like there would be a separate player list for champions, so a full server would be 50/50 regulars and 10/10 reserved, but we don't really have any information.

 

Most of these could honestly be handled by you owning 2 minecraft accounts, mojang won't stop you from buying multiple so why shouldn't wynncraft make a more direct way of giving you these benfits?
More marcket slots = new mc account
More cahracter slots = new mc account
Switching between worlds fast = have a new mc account in the lobby with the compass open (switching to the other account is pretty much as fast if not faster depending on several factors than typing a command in chat)
Instant class deletetion = new mc account, you get 5 character slots for free, I'm fairly certain you wouldn't be able to get the ingridients faster than class deletion happens.

bomb bell isnt that op but it is powerful keep in mind these players usually end up spending lots of money buying bombs and supplying free players with access to them and this also means they usually don't even need to use the bombs since they already have gotten the levels they needed (tldr these people an average won't even need the bombs)

if reserved slots mean theres 50/50 for normal players and and a bonus like 10 as someone above me said then this aint bad but yeh this is probably the most brutal one

overall all of these seem fair except the last one that much and maybe map merchant depending on waht that is

 

I still dont wanna spend more money on new accouts, also it doesnt change much
also the ingredients are untradeable, so if you arent planning on levelling up to lvl 100 crafting on both accounts than its just not good, also who plays with their alt on wynn just chilling in the lobby
Insta bomb tracker is op, I wanna do gathering profs on my main, so it doesnt matter than I have an alt
Also champion switch wcs faster, who said there couldnt be 20 champions on a prof server, that happens with heroes rn. Since they can insta join servers with the switch command they will make wcs full far faster

 

they are becoming tradeable and also most of them are getting a large nerf, making them way less OP/useable

 

the only thing i really have a problem with is the bomb bell

it just feels.... eeeh

other than that though mostly QoL stuff and reserved player slots etc are fine imo

 

to add to that, its already super easy to grind the early game ings with that 15 min cooldown max (also therk set is getting a nerf)

 

I would say that 1 max instant class deletion per day would be enough, and bomb bell definitely needs to be removed/made available for everyone, but if a queue function is in the game for nons too then I don't think 6 would be much of a problem.
Also are you not going to mention how champion also gets to level pets over 20 which gives them special abilities

 

pet levels over 20 are cosmetic

 

The sell thing for the cow is borderline cosmetics only though
who knows what other features other pets have

 

I would assume that all pets have the same effects at the same levels, and the skin is only cosmetic

 

Merchant booths are where you can advertise your shop directly on the map. If you look at the trailer, you can see a chest block advertising Salted's shop:



Also I'd like to add that the nickname part in terms of Hunted mode is pay2win in a sense that you can disguise yourself as someone that is not a hunter. Hopefully you can't do that in Hunted mode like how you can't disguise yourself in Hunted mode anymore...

or just remove hunted mode no one likes it anyway

These OP ingredients you mentioned are just up to level 15, and if I remember correctly it just takes several minutes or under an hour to delete a level 15 class. Also I heard of some people using an alternate MC account (which is wayyyyyyyy cheaper than champion) to get "extra class slots" to farm ingredients.
Even though the instant class deletion is nerfed, the ingredient farming problem still exists.

This is the actual busted thing and it have to be removed/reworked (but i cant think of how)

Reserved slots is fine for me as long as there is a similar function for non-champs. Maybe it could look like this:

Where champions takes the priority of getting into servers, but nons aren't ignored either

some of the features are a bit wack, but salted said that the perks of champion rank is likely going to be adjusted (iirc) so lets be patient e

 

Have we even been told what exactly "bomb bell" consists of? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you all seem to be getting worked up about/possibly overreacting over something that may not be what you think, or consist of exactly what you speculate.

 

We're assuming the worst because if it was something other than exactly what it sounds like somebody probably would have said something. I know the devs like to keep their secrets, but when the majority opinion is that your new stuff is P2W, that's generally a good time to abandon those principles and clear up the confusion. If it was something else, I am confidant somebody would have said something by now, especially since Salted has already corrected multiple misconceptions today. Until new info is given, the fact that nobody is disagreeing is a very clear sign that we're right about what the bell is.
