Media A Few Things Not Yet Mentioned Here

Just watching the trailer again, there are a few little pieces that I haven't seen mentioned. If I've missed any you saw, comment and I'll edit them in.

Spoiler: without any further ado:

• The terrain in general in the light forest might be completely reworked (going off the picture of the tree stump), but this may just be the mountains/hills on the western side, that already exist
• More terraining for lake Gylia too, including more buildings
• I can only conclude that the structure shown at 0:27 in the video is a reworked Orphion's seal, If so, the Realm of Light is no longer glowing mushrooms and stained glass rivers but a mega sized flower field
• Either Dwicey, Hyphet or Oculism_ thought that a dirt house was a good idea
• Hyphet uses morph for Endgame stuff
• The colossus is now made with Diamond details, not emerald or there is a new one, but that's a bit more unlikely. It has also just been remade in general with less moss
• The guild rework makes use of the advancements tab, so I believe this will make wynn a 1.12+ only server (not 1.9 as it is now). Someone please fact check me on this
• Resources seem to be being tied into guilds now, so it could be a benefit for profers
• More guild activities it would seem: 1:15 is a scene off map in what looks like either an arena, or a weird guild hall sort of thing
• Guild levels have more perks now
• Levelling xp for each guild level is shown
• New item type: mastery. It seems that they are only mythics though so I'll be interested to see the balancing here
• Gathering IDs are coming, from the indication of the items shown being seeds, It may only be to crafted consumables (I hope so at least)
• Aside from the Siegfried dialogue shown, there are two others: "../2] Captain Goodbye gavel..." and "[3/3] Ava salt...Any idea what's goi- wait..." The first quote is likely something to do with the quest: a fantastic voyage, but it says captain, and not Relend, so it may be a new one from either Llevigar or Jofash docks. The second one seems to be the new Corkus quest. It must also be noted that Jbip's profile both says "Ava is best girl" and "Will my feathers fly is the true question" which suggests that he has made this quest and it relates to the Avos.
• There's now a quest/discovery about how light and dark work (thank god), and it looks like an interplay between the elves and corrupt/decayed monsters. I'd expect this to be a quest between the light and dark forests.
• Quest tracking is now easier for those who don't use wynntils, since it gets pinned to your sidebar now.
• The Siegfried quest snippet, mentions the east of the sky islands, which may relate to the ice castle, the catacombs there or possibly another quest to do with the skyraiders
• Orphion is not the worm boss from the gavel release teasers. this was likely the Grootslang, which we may still get this update
• The weird script (I'll call it Gavellian, to match Wynnic, although it could be elvish or helioluxian) used in secret.png and the other twitter teaser features on the updated Wynncraft logo. It seems to spell out "The Realm of Light", which is accurate since it is getting completely reworked. from that, secret.png is the letter "G" in this cipher, and the other message reads "-A-E HIM" which I believe is deliberately ambiguous, as it can be read as save, take, wake etc as many have already theorised.
• The new logo features lots of wings, crystals and Orphion's antlers too. Since Ophion is a fox/dog thing, it doesn't have feathers so these relate to something else and so do the crystals most likely. My speculation is that the feathers relate to the Avos, since it seems that Corkus is finally getting more quests, and the crystals seem to be like the ones from Lake Gylia, so something new there, or Colossus related.
• The logo at the end of the trailer glitches into negative colours/corrupts and swirls a bit. More evidence for a better explaination of how light/darkness work against eachother
• Trailer ends with the Gavellian message again. I reiterate: Orphion is likely the main part of this update, and is likely to help form a large part of the "Major Wynncraft Storyline" through the next updates as it starts to take shape.
• (From Aya) The cobblestone texture seems to heave been changed
• (Red-eyed Knight) the compass points towards the next coords in tracked quests

Well, there goes an hour of my time spent picking apart two minutes of footage...

 

gathering xp and spd ingredients got leaked a long time ago, there are ingredients for all crafting professions, though the ingredient shown in the trailer is new and didn't exist when 1.19 leaked the ingredients initially.

 

I would like to point out too, cobblestone's texture is changed from what I've been able to see

I was looking at the colossus picture and trying to figure out if that was new or not.... I'll add it in

There was a lot of backlash to those released pictures so I expect a lot got changed.

If I remember correctly, server backend is still 1.8.9, and I highly doubt that's changing anytime soon. Also, I doubt this will change anything to be perfectly honest because there are still items that make you crash in lower versions that exist in game right now, like iron nuggets.

 

One more thing: tracking a quest now makes the compass point towards the next coordinates

But if they’re using the advancements tab, you could probably only play 1.12+ client side

 

The only issue is that custom advancements was made a thing in 1.12, and I'm pretty sure they can't get that to work on 1.8. I'll check though, but its possible they have updated the server, but i find that unlikely too. Salted didn't sound like he thought that would be worth doing.
