1.20: Gavel Reborn Trailer Is Out!

Im glad that the Realm of Light gets some love, everyone is talking about dern, but the counterpart needs to be equally epic. Really looking forward for 1.20!

Okay, now a few more honest thoughts:

Between the guild update and raids, wynn's getting severial more of the classic MMO features.

I'm personally not thrilled about the guild update, because I dislike the idea of having to spend so much time on maintaining territory. (The trade routes, however, tickle my weak spot for logistics. Ahh, sweet logistics.) I'm sure it will be liked by people who like guilds. But I feel it will sort of make the "entry barrier" into guilds a lot higher, because now territory and war is so much more important and "why would we waste one of the valuable guild spots on someone who won't devote that many hours a week into territories?"

Housing seems... meh. Look at me, I can spend hours and some emeralds building a structure to spend time in that's most likely worse than the actual map!
What's the point? If it can contain all NPCS, and can be accessed from major cities, and major cities already contain all the NPCS, it seems to have next to no functionality becides flavour. Becides, I don't think it will trump Detlas WC1 in terms of being a multi-player hub or Party Chat for communicating with friends.
Overall, seems like a thing you would use to show off your building skills to your friends, and there's better ways to do that, I'd say. If anything, I'll buy one, leave it empty except for a "Build Stand" npc, and then never do anything with it again.

First of all, I LOVE THE CONTENT THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH CONTENT AND NOW THERE WILL BE MORE GOOD CONTENT AND LESS BAD CONTENT

Honestly, I do think I'd be thrilled if every wynncraft update from now until forever was just content. More content is always better.
Raids sound sort of fun? New mechanics in play. And it forces people to work together, meaning I no longer have to ask around for 1.5 hours before getting someone else to do The Eye or something else for me. On the other hand, I still have residual trauma about cooperation after ???.

Forgery chest is nice. Nuff said.
CHAMPION seems mostly QOL. But what's this merchant booths? And reserved slots sound... iffy. I hope there will be a 60 slots + x Champ slots situation, but not an x champ slots + 60-x normal slots situation.

Talking Mushroom pet or riot. Also, neat way to circumvent the No-Ingame-Advantage EULA trick. I guess it works if bought pets are just a reskin now?


Overall exited, but I feel like some of the additions feel questionable.

Holy fucking shit I am so excited for this update. Like this update with remaking Gavel and adding raids and shit seems fucking awesome! I also can't believe they made housing an actual thing lmfao. All of this will also mean the Gavel dungeons are coming!!! I LITERALLY CANT WAIT!

But for real, this looks awesome! Super excited about the Realm of Light and Gavel re-works, (although I literally just finished lv 40-80 Gavel today ugh new class time), and even though it was just a meme, I actually really like the housing stuff! Can't wait!!!!!!
