This is a solo build for Lost Sanctuary, you don't NEED any of the items, but they make the run easier.

yeah but... this build has loads of fire defense

again you dont need the scroll, but it gives scribing levels for its rank... and extra fire defense
if im completely wrong on how defense works let me know as i am still a newb but doesnt it subtract from the enemies base damage

 

unless you have like -400 or worse elemental defense in an element it doesnt really matter.

also professions aren't actally worth the time investment

When you melee hit mobs there is a chance for an emerald to drop.

it gets very slow and grindy at higher levels and you need to worry about repairing.

 

As weeb said, it’s slow and Grindy, but yes, you get best in slot gear when you finish a profession. Although it has durability, and atleast for me, it’s not worth my time

 

so basically professions aren't worth my time

 

professions exist so you would have something to do after finishing the game

No that only works for fire mobs, and only -300 elemental defense will affect you. Also scrolls, beside xp bonus, and useless until lvl 100
