A Question About Crafting.

I was doing my woodworking for the first time, crafting ordinary bows to level up the skill and get some money, but on my second set of crafting the bows, I noticed that they did double damage. Why is this the case? Do every level the bows get stronger?

 

First off, you'll level up faster if you use ingredients when crafting. Second, it could be that your level range increased, which would have bumped up the damage. It's also possible that you rolled lower attack speeds, which would increase the base damage proportionally.
