Official Event Lore Writing Contest!

Howdy! Welcome to Wynncraft's first lore writing contest of the 2020 decade!

In this contest, you (the community) will have the chance to write lore for the items featured in this contest!​

The items featured in this contest are (descriptions courtesy of the Item Team):

1) Outrage: A new item to be added in the next update. An earth helm with extremely high melee damage and good life steal, for getting up in the enemy's face and using them as a punching bag.

Since the trailer didn't show all of the stats, here they are:

2) Downfall: A high-level ring, which both plays off of and fixes some of Earth/Fire's most glaring weaknesses by providing a ludicrous amount of speed for an accessory, but hitting your element defenses where they hurt the most.

3) Time Rift: A high-level fabled chest plate with two interesting gimmicks- First, it's a mana battery- hurts your mana regen abilities, but gives a ton of damage. Second, the Sorcery Major ID gives you a chance to double-cast spells.

Keep in mind that Fabled item lore is generally going to be different from Legendary or Mythic lore- instead of telling stories or worldbuilding through the lore, Fableds will get something more akin to quotes or flavor text instead. An example from an unreleased, offensively-based Fabled item is: "You're seeing red...time to see more of it." Keep this in mind for your submission!

You will be judged on:
1) Creativity
2) Applicability to the item
3) General appropriateness to the game's rules
4) How well it fits into the game world
5) Subjective matters

We will select 1 different winner per item (and their lore will be added to the items in-game). Honorable mentions will also be announced.

Note: Please only one entry per player. If you submit multiple entries, the first one will be selected for consideration.

Note: You have the option to submit up to 1 lore description per item.

The form is closed! Any submissions made afterward will be disqualified.

for the fabled item lore, is it meant to be kinda omniscient like the example given, or can it be more like early dungeon loot lore (i.e. the ones in infested pit having quotes from npcs)

Time Rift was a mistake, thats all there is to Trift lore (To ppl who don't get it after the shaman trift patch thing trift is gonna be a really sucky chestplate because the major id is just bad)

^ The one I chose

When a sorcerer was banished from his own family, he vowed to seek revenge. He produced a powerful chest guard that gives the wearer unrivalled strength, but slowly drained their magical powers. Upon giving it to every member in his family, they mysteriously lost their magical powers after a month. Weakened, they did not stand a chance to the sorcerer's wrath, and he ruthlessly slaughtered them all.
