Beginner Armor/tools

Hi, I'm new and I don't know what is the best armor and tools to get.
I would really appreciate it if people who are more experienced tell me what armor and tools are the best.
I am a mage btw.
please let me know all the tips and tricks down below.

i see you're lv 23... so

at that point you have unlocked meteor, the strongest mage spell for damage, at lv 21

reset your skill points with compass and put 29 into intelligence to make spells cheaper, mainly for 6 cost meteors (instead of 8 at 0 intel). next milestone is 47 intelligence, which gets you 5 cost meteorites.

as you spam spells you need mana, by default you have 5 mana regen, which isnt enough. you can improve that by using items with mana regen or mana steal (mana steal only works when you melee, and it has a chance to activate, not all the time).

for your build, just use whatever you find that gives good hp and synergizes well. you could use detlas legacy at lv 25 and adventurer's set at 29 but you really dont have to worry about it, get something near your level and you're good.

the tools you talk of i think you mean gathering tools. you can buy tier 1 and tier 2 from npc-s near cities but outside them and tier 3+ from dungeons. i really advise you to skip on professions however, primary focus should be quests and leveling your combat.

 

If you don't love grind, skip professions. They are not worth it.

 

Don't worry too much about getting the optimal meta gear and builds until endgame. Right now just focus on making a decent build that gives some good bonuses; that should be more than enough to get you through the early game. As mentioned, you'll probably want to invest in intel and to use mana regen/steal gear (it's hard to get a lot of either at your level, so both wouldn't be a bad idea) as well as spell damage gear (raw will do a lot more than % generally as mage) and water damage (it will boost your heal, even if your weapon doesn't go water damage). Other than that, look for good health, good skill point bonuses and good damage on weapons.

 

Are there any mods and websites that I could use? ( BTW I already use wynntils ) .
Is the recommended texture pack good? or should I use like a PvP Texure pack?

 

In the future, it's probably best to answer this question on a separate thread, of your own creation.

Wynncraft's texture pack is designed to go hand in hand with gameplay, so you should absolutely keep using it. As far as modpacks go, Wynncraft has never endorsed the use of any mods, as there is no guarantee that using one won't break a part of the game.

 

Wynntils' devs communicate wizh admins so it is safe to use.
I understand it is not official though...
