Guild System Neglect - What Should Be Done?

    This is an open letter to all guilds and their members - regardless of alliance - as well as the development team behind Wynncraft. The guild system has been suffering from neglect from quite a while since jpresent left, with multiple glaring issues that make the Guild Wars unfun, as well as a lack of endgame content geared towards guilds:
    • Lack of proper balancing of mobs in Guild Wars. The mobs as they are feel weak because of the ongoing power creep, and the war mobs haven't been balanced around them.
      • To put this in perspective: Qira, before 1.19, had roughly 400-450k HP. After 1.19, Qira's HP was raised to almost 900k-1M. On the other hand, Corrupter of Worlds (War) has the same HP as it did before 1.19.
    • Lack of balancing in general for Guild Wars.
      • Mob spawn rates, mob damage output, timer, strategy (or lack thereof)...
    • Consumables are allowed in Guild Wars.
      • This is the chief issue - allowing consumables to be used in Guild Wars. This includes only the crafted consumables - with them, the damage output and survivability of every player, regardless of build, SKYROCKETED.
    • Filler strategy is the most dominant strategy in the wars, making the wars a borefest.
      • In case people don't know what a filler strategy is, it's 1000 lv. 50 mobs.
    • No tangible rewards besides levels and guild emeralds for participating in Guild Wars (this is intended - Guild Wars should not have rewards geared to actual gameplay, but XP/emeralds/territory ownership shouldn't be the only reward).
      • Guild Banners are a thing, but they're cosmetic - as well as being a massive guild money sink to upgrade them to new tiers. Sum of emeralds required to buy the max tier (8?) is worth as much as a maxed out Discoverer, if not TWO maxed out Discoverers!
    • Another thing worth mentioning is the guild leveling system. The effective max level is 55, which is when Death is unlocked as the final war mob.
    I did not mention several other issues that have more to do with the players more than the system itself - I do not want to incite flame wars so I'm asking people to keep the politics out of this thread.

    What can be done to save the Guilds as they are right now? We have several suggestions geared towards improving the guilds, but the most obvious one would be hiring a dedicated Guild system developer.
    These aren't the only suggestions made to fix Guilds and the Guild Wars. There have been many suggestions - some in forums, some not - regarding fixing guilds, but it has been neglected to such a degree that it is ridiculous. It is understandable that CT has other things to do and devs have their hands full with 1.20 (and 1.21?), but please, do not let the Guilds system remain neglected.
