I Made A Man Disappear

    During the "Recover the Past" quest, I managed to make it to the tower with Edwin, and while I got him up there successfully, and started the cutscene, I accidently walked down the stairs -suddenly cutting off the cutscene, and removing Edwin from existence... I'm unsure of how to bring him back, as the quest is forcing me to bring him there again. This wouldn't be an issue normally, the problem is... He's gone. Reduced to atoms. The normal spot you find him in? He's not there either. I don't know where Edwin managed to go, but until I find out, I'm stuck on this quest. I really just want to know if there's a way to reset or cancel the quest so I can bring these NPCs back.

    This is a known issue (bug) with most of the "NPC follows you" quests introduced or reworked in 1.19, and will most likely be fixed in 1.20.

    Until then, there's very little that can be done to help progress this quest.

    Well shit... Guess I can't do that quest for a bit. Time to do one of the other non-fetch quests

    Congratulations! You have been softlocked. I have experience with this.

    Don't ask a mod to help you. There's nothing they can do. This bug has been fixed, but they can't release it yet because of all of the other half finished things they would release with it.
