    I remember about 4 years ago there was a beta test for swarms, they were just laggy because of the amount of mobs. will they still be coming out?, if not rip

    yep, i cant remember the reason they removed them (mainly because of the lag i think) but they have never been reintroduced or mentione as far as i can recall... it would be a nice idea tho

    They tested them once a year or two back (maybe more) but it went poorly and I haven't heard anything since, which leads me to believe they've been scrapped for the time being.

    No but really, I don't think swarms are ever coming back due to lag. If 50 player EO parties tell us something, they should probably never come back without some dedicated server with insane optimization for it.
