I Don't Know What To Do Anymore

Just to add: I'm not gonna point fingers or expose anybody, but i have encountered multiple problems with staff response on *all levels* of moderation. Admin and newly past-trial mod alike. Not because of getting unsatisfactory answer, but because of no answer. Silence speaks volumes. Porobably the worst case I've ever dealt with was sending 2 reminders to a moderator (a longtime mod at that) who had not replied to a friend of mine's ban appeal for over a YEAR now. I tried to get an admin to advance the issue and even got a reply that they'd investigate, but no dice. Now that friend gave up on waiting and left wynn discords.

I'm not trying to like, make this thread about me at all. I'm just sayin that TNL deserving an answer but not getting one is one of the biggest fundamental issues that has been plaguing the unity between Wynn's community and its management. Bottom line: if somebody in a team is incapable of replying to their community's messages, expand the realm of responsibility to others who will.

 

Salted, if you see that message, you helped me with BCr and it didn't take you that much time.. I think it would be like wise with TNL's situation, take just 5 minutes of your time to revive years of work of some people

Thank you, I know its difficult for management since there is so little admins who can do any fixes for Guilds. It was a mistake on my behalf so thank you I know the whole no refund policy. I'm sorry if the thread seemed to be attacking the admin team, that wasn't really my purpose but I can see it can come off that way

However, Salted's response irritates me. I dont like that this kind of situation is being grouped under a "no refund policy." I don't think the upper staff fully understand what guilds mean to people; it's not like losing an item ingame or having buyer's remorse over a store purchase. It's not like losing a stack of LE due to accidentally backing out of a /gu contribute window; money is much more replaceable than an entire guild. Guild's shouldn't be looked at as a piece of lost property or an unwise impulse buy. They are a community construct that dozens of people pour their heart and thousands of collective hours into, a construct that forges friendships, competition, and content that a Mythic item or VIP rank does not contain. Asking for this kind of help and asking for a "refund" are completely different concepts. We guildmasters are forced to use an accident-prone process of spam demotions to transfer guild ownership on the Minecraft server with THE most complex guild system, while servers like Hypixel can do this with a single command. If the power to do this was in the player's hands, mistakes like this wouldn't even happen. If it was in the player's hands, cases like when my former guildmaster wanted to securely transfer ownership to me would not cost your staff's time. It would be less work for both parties involved.

I locked onto another thing too: "helping some people but not others?" What? This kind of guild paralysis situation has only happened like 2-3 times in known recent history. It's not like losing some mythic to the seaskipper hopper; that's painfully common, and there is no expectation for the administration to return those items. But having an accident happen to a system that the admins readily admit is garbage, and asking for that accident to be fixed, is not "asking for a refund." IF we could transfer ownership ourselves there would be less work for the admins, less wait for the player. It's a lot more reasonable to ask for a guild back than a single item lost to a hopper.

If y'all acknowledge that the guild ownership transfer system is shitty, and don't like being asked to do this kind of operation, change it so the players can do it!

Art is a man of paragraphs I've said it before, he used to send me paragraphs upon paragraphs everyday. And If you don't believe that people can't get a guild rolled back in leadership. I've spent almost 7 years playing wynn and I love the game i'm very sick of it and think it's lacking in many ways but for a Minecraft game that i could of avoided in 1 click on a day 6 years ago, my whole life has changed because of Wynn, Probably for worse tho but i could be addicted to paint so.... Oh well!
