Any Tips For Soloing Geyser Pit?

So I just put together a thunder build and wanted to do geyser pit as an assassin for the SWEET leggings.

But even when it seems like I am out of trouble, some unseen force (neither the minions nor the boss) does a ton of damage and one-shots me.

Why is this so? How do I prevent it? (P.S. I have 10000 health and about 50 def)

 

Is it during the phase in which the boss self destructs? If so, you probably got killed by the self destruct ability. Stay away from the boss on its second phase.

 

You can also make a tankier build. 10k health and 50def is on the glassier side and is prolly one-shotable by a meteor spell.

 

It was during the first phase.

I was pretty far from the boss at the time; too far for a meteor spell.

 

My point still stands. Investing in tankiness is sometimes less satisfying due to mitigated damage (not always, if you have a really good build. Heavy melee assassin for instance is just op in both damage AND tankiness), but being tanky will spare you the annoyance of having to re-do a content again due to death, so you usually get more out of it in the long run.

 

Hi I’m back. It seems the damage came from like 5 minions surfacing behind me and exploding.

Any way to deal with this?

minions can attack you from below the ground. do your best to keep away from the name tags.
also you prob know this already but they do just as much damage as the boss itself lol

 

Yes I know. That’s why I always try to avoid the below ground ones. Also, are they supposed to do 4K dmg?

Hi, I still can't beat the boss, and starting to wonder if it meant for lvl 90 at all.

1. The minions are really fast bois and deal like a quarter of my health per hit. (Im not even glassy)
2. The boss's charge spell pattern does way too much damage.
3. The minions are really hard to kill and there can be like 20 on the arena at once.
4. The explosions below ground are unpredictable and hard to detect.

Anyone managed to survive this onslaught and lived to tell the tale?

 

I managed to eventually do it on shaman but:
1.Ele defs actually matter and the boss walls your ele dmg
2.Use your movement spell and crowd control spell as much as you can
3.Dont do it at 90, its literally death.
4.On the second phase focus on just living
5.You could probably see the nametags of enemies so you need to pay attention to those.
6.Do it in third person because the minions come out of the ground

 

Thanks guys for the help!!! Just beat him as a level 90 thunder assassin (got tera yes!), using two pots.

For those who want to know, for most of the fight, the strat is very similar to that used for the Olux Plague Doctor; I just flash vanished around the arena until he stopped charging, then went in with a spin attack- smoke bomb combo (a spin-attack- multihit combo would probabely work as well).

Also, I vanished around the edges of the arena rather than in the centre - this made me less susceptible to being surrounded by his minions.

The strat is the same for the 2nd phase, just without the "going in" part.
