Dang you guys are talking about buying emeralds etc and it's lowkey scaring me. There are positives and negatives if wynn does add stuff like this. They'll make mad money which can keep the server going for longer but on the other hand their other features might go a little inactive, like the trade market in game and in discords.

 

i really hope wynn doesn’t go the route of pay for ingame perks for just one player. It’s a shitty way to run a server

 

It is kinda risky, and it should only be needed if they are running low. Right now everything is going smoothly for them I hope. There will definitely be a decrease in players that actually work hard to get what they have, and there will also be an increase in players that like to take shortcuts (although it may be slim). I personally like the thrill of working for items and emeralds.

 

I would stop playing, and frankly try to get people to boycott it.

 

Hypixel skyblock is hardly pay to win with the new update, and anyone who quits because of the update is honestly just dumb. Hypixel was *losing money* to keep skyblock free, and the new profits will let them double the dev team.

Only recent major mention of the server I can think of is Technoblade briefly mentioning it in a livestream

Techno's first skyblock video 0:57 (although this is not that recent it's still the biggest youtuber I've seen recently mentioning it in a video).

And one more thing, the fact that he said he played some wynncraft in a live stream recently means he has an alt to play Wynn in (since his main wasn't on for more then a year)

Armour skins were too taxing on Minecraft's skin servers iirc, but player riding should be fine as long as the person you're riding doesn't have any problems with it

 

Yes but it isn’t directly PvP all of those things are optional and have no effects on the game, you don’t get rewards from being higher leaderboards.

Nah because 49 people get to mooch off each one so players are able to get their effects without paying.

 

Grinding dungeons also isn't the only way to level up, and it is perfectly doable to level up without dxp as well. Without dxp or dbombs it is just inconveniencing to level up, not a competitive feature.

Plus the most competitive element I see about Wynncraft is Wealth and Mythics, both of these are kind of exempt from any form of pay to win unless you count loot bombs. But...who uses lootbombs on a regular basis?

EDIT: I guess there's item bombs, but those rarely pay off, and it's basically just the expensive version of lootrunning.
