Am I Allowed To Sell Very Old Keys?

I started playing pre-gavel, and back in my day keys were different. They had titles like "silverfish key" and "animal key". But once they were changed, all of the towns were given a special merchant that turned the old keys into today's keys. Unfortunately i stopped playing for several years once these merchants were implemented. And i guess that the devs thought they had been around for long enough and everyone must've exchanged their keys by now.

Of course, because i stopped playing as soon as they were implemented, i was unable to exchange any of my keys. So after all these years of the keys being changed, i still have a few old keys. Specifically i have 3 silverfish keys and 2 animal keys. Im considering selling these as collectors items, and of course at exorbitant prices. But i just want to know if im allowed to sell them.

Im pretty sure the trade market wont let me put them up for sale, but i think i can still trade them to other players. Something thats been discouraging me from making this post for so many months is im worried im supposed to throw them away

I am aware you're supposed to throw bugged or vanilla items out, as well as items you got from a bug. But if it turns out im supposed to throw these keys out, im getting rid of a relic of the past.

 

I'm pretty sure you're allowed to keep, but I'm also sure you're not allowed to sell them.

 

Yeah i just tested it and im able to trade them, but i cant sell them on the market.

 

i think its against the rules to trade old items like that

 

I have 14 animal keys lol
Not sure if you're allowed to put old items like the santa set or pumpkin mask on the market though

 

I'm 90% sure I've heard that you can't sell those items

no, you can't sell them, but you can keep them as a souvenir
