Why I Love Wynncraft.

I have been playing Wynncraft for about 2 years now. I've been on these forums for a little while too (not as long though), and it occurred to me that I have never actually written about what makes Wynncraft special to me. Of course there are a lot of reasons, such as the obvious care put into the design and story of the world that is Wynncraft, or the beautiful OST, or the lore (you really think I'm able to write a single thread without mentioning it?).

No. The reason I love Wynncraft is because of you. You.

Yes, that sounds weird, but think about it. You are part of the community, if you are reading this. Wynncraft is made by its players, and if you are one of them, then that means Wynn would not be the place it is today without you.

The reason I came to Wynn was because I was being bullied (ik we aren't really supposed to talk about stuff like that on here but it is both important to me and relevant to Wynncraft and this thread), so anyway I came to the server and for the first time in a while I found people, just like you, who were just... so nice to be around! People who didn't care about what your life situation was (as harsh as it sounds it can be a beautiful thing), but people who really cared about making the game the best experience they could. I've been so fortunate to discover this server, and the people who play on it.

As most of you know, I love theories. Heck, I've even started a youtube channel for it, a discord server, some really great stuff! And I love that through it all there's been no-one telling me "you can't do that because of factor x, y, or z". I love that you can play Wynncraft how you want - you have the freedom to be a theorist, class builder, guild leader, or whatever you want to be (except scammers, they aren't so good).


That's why I love Wynncraft. I feel like saying "I love Wynncraft because of the community", is kind of a shallow and meaningless answer. It's an easy one to spit out. When in reality, I love Wynncraft because of the person reading this.

From my experience this isn't actually true. Usually people are "You are having tough times irl? Poor Trap. Good Luck!" , not "Idc about you at all" or "You deserve it, whatever is happening to you".

I think this is even better than not caring at all.

 

I suppose it varies from person to person. Ngl I was very grateful when people just never mentioned it at all - it helped me enjoy Wynncraft more. But no, I can see where you are coming from and some people are like that which is great as well!

couldn't agree more before i joined Wynncraft the only real MC community i had been apart of was hypixel (no hate love hypixel server also) and coming from the toxicity from some of the players on the server to the wynncraft forums is really what kept me around. I barely play nowadays because I'm the person to get one class to 105, do all the quests and get bored but i still check up on the forums every once and awhile :).

 

Yeah, I joined Wynncraft after Hypixel too.

Hypixel is obviously a great server, but because it's so competitive it's sadly inevitable that toxicity will come out of that.
