Types Of People Who Play Wynncraft [updated]

Since my last list of Wynncraft stereotypes did well, I thought it would be fun to do a new and revised one. Sadly, this one will not contain a poll because there are just too many types of wonderful people who play on the server!

Beggar: This person often hangs around in major cities and asks others for varying amounts of emeralds. They head to Cinfras way before they have enough money to make a guild, because they expect someone will lend them a few LE when they are there.

Builder: This person loves stats and items. They are constantly searching for better gear, and swapping out armour so that it fits their playstyle. They know a lot about elemental damage and defenses, and love using the WynnData items page.

Cheat: As I said in my last post, these people are not bad. They choose to play the game one way and we have all been a cheat more than once, I am sure. These people use the wiki a lot and are good at getting to specific coords quickly.

Dungeon Geek: These people love to speedrun both normal and corrupted dungeons. They also know every little detail on how to defeat dungeons best. Almost every single one of these people is max level.

Endgamer: These people have completed all the quests in the game, and have done Legendary Island multiple times. They have the best gear, but even though they are at the end of the game they never get bored. They always seem to have something really important to do.

Entrepreneur: Money is the focus of this person's mind. They have a huge bank, and often use the trade market. They enjoy completing their objectives to make more money, and often set up shops on the forums. They have a head for numbers and recognise a scammer a mile away.

Explorer: These people don't care about quests or money. Instead, they just roam the map! They enjoy getting lost, and love discovering even such insignificant things as small houses. They can just start walking in any given direction and have a good time.

Forum Addict: This person does not play Wynncraft. They play the Wynncraft Forums. They make guides, theories (which normally aren't very good because they quit playing the server in 2015), and make long threads about community events, which are all mysteriously cancelled...

Grinder: These people love grinding. Not the results of it, but they find the action so fun that they do it for hours on end. This person tries to reach level 200 before realising it isn't possible. They enjoy the ember cave in particular, as well as grinding EO and CUR.

Guild Guy: This person is obsessed with guilds and warring. They want to level up their guild, and recruit new players on the forums. They often have big rivals, but some remember to keep these rivalries friendly. All they want is to take over new territories.

Lootrunner: This person normally uses Wynntils. They have memorised all of the best chest routes and know what each level chest can drop. They have loot bonus on all of their armour and weapons.

Profession Nerd: This guy just crafts. And crafts. And crafts. That's not to say he enjoys it, most of these people just do it because by now it has become muscle memory. I pity you.

Quester: This person wants to complete every quest in the game. They are always quick to unlock new quests and only grind for levels if it is necessary to unlock a new one. They never do dungeons because they are so focused on the dungeon quests! Their goal is to have played every quest in the game.

Scammer: These people are the only bad people on this list. They cheat other players out of hard-earned money. If you are a scammer and are reading this, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Speedrunner: This person wants to get to level 105 as soon as they can from logging in to the game. They just want to go fast! They have memorised how to get to places quickly, and how to get the most XP as soon as they can. They use high-tech timers that record them down to the trillisecond.

Suggester: These people are very much a mixed bag. Some people really want to help the community and the server and manage to, like @Novalescent, some want to but don't suggest the greatest things (see @TrapinchO's guide to suggesting), and some just want to have a laugh at the admins.

Theorist: This one is me! This person's brain is filled with lore, theories, and dates. They use @FinnDestren's amazing timeline, and love nothing more than writing and critiquing theories. They even have a discord (nod nod wink wink).

Trader: Whereas the entrepreneur uses the market to get more money, the Trader uses it because they really enjoy it. They are always out looking for the best deals, and are a wiz when it comes to prices. They can also spot scammers easily, although some end up becoming scammers themselves!

XP Maniac: This person just wants XP. Unlike the grinder, they grind for the rewards it brings. Some also level up their professions. These people put a lot of time into Wynncraft, and they need it - the stuff they do often takes a lot of time and patience!

Oh god, I love market flipping. There's no better rush than selling something for six times its price.

But i also love grinding, I'm a plebian, so I only do quests when necessary, I devote all my efforts to getting my characters to endgame, then enjoying endgame content
(I'm also a novice lootrunner)

 

None of these really define me enough that i'd put myself specifically into that style of play.

But that's because the thing which defines my playstyle is wanting to do everything and then burning out super quickly, before then getting inspired a few hours later and wanting to do everything again, and repeating the cycle constantly while bouncing between most sections of play and various different classes.
It's kind of like trying to cook on a stove, but the only two options is either Off, or The Surface of the Sun, there is no in-between.

 

Collector: The kind of person that has a whole bunch of rare but often useless items strewn throughout their bank, such as 7 Touroto Hide and 15 Light Aura and 13 Dark Aura and a Skeleton Key and a Santa hat and a Hallowynn Mask and an Oni Helm and 65 Flamingo Feathers and

 

Suggester, theorist, quester and cheat all somewhat apply to me.
I am forced to be a profession nerd on my craftsman skyseer.

 

I'm probably more of a quester at the moment, but I really do want to get into crafting. It seems really fun!

 

It looks fun, but it gets really grindy. At least there's a huge payoff

Based on the information about these roles, I would see myself as a Dungeon Geek, an Explorer, and an Endgamer, probably a Cheat sometimes

 

I see myself as a Quester and Endgamer, with a bit of Builder and Theorist.

 

Theorist and Explorer, jeez...

 

I'm a rare mutation of forum addict, I have 10 times more time on forums than in game time, but the longest thread I posted was 3 sentences

 

And yet I manage to not really fit into any of these, except for maybe the quest one.
The four main categories (which I see as grinding, loot running, class building/crafting, and guild people), in my opinion, suck. Grinding is boring as hell, loot running never works because other people always take the chests, class building/crafting makes no sense at all, and guilds are just a useless waste of money and XP. Because of this I find it kind of hard to get a build to actually do the interesting stuff (such as quests and discoveries) since I don't have a ton of money, as getting that kind of money is just flat out boring. And no, I'm not begging for money/participating in giveaways either, as I just see that as kind of scummy.

This is why I turned to Mac N Cheese.
