Aldorie's Secret Part 2 Vault Not Opening?

Ok so like... in Aldorei's secret part 1 I accidentally gave the boots away for free, I honestly just clicked the closest NPC because I wasn't reading chat, and turns out I clicked the 8000 emeralds guy, but it registered as the dude next to him. So I didn't get any emeralds for the quest. In other words, I should be eligible for the Emerald Vault.

I've murdered this Vidobe guy like 6 times now, and I haven't seen an emerald vault anywhere. I don't want to finish the quest empty-handed. Which is, yes, greedy, but it's not my fault the elves gave me the option of murdering their grand mage.


So uhh.. am I doing something wrong or did I just get scammed out of 10k

ok so turns out I just had to go in the left door and talk to the dude, which is stupid.

So I walked in, talked to him, got my emeralds, and then walked into the trial thing again. Ive already done this shit 3 times trying to find the non-existant vault, and I don't want to do it again. So I did /kill with all 15 soul points, and I lost all my emeralds plus my legendary boots.

this quest is stupid

 

Wait so you received 8000 emeralds in aldorei's secret part 1 but got the elven medallion instead of the recipe? Or did you get 0 emeralds in aldorei's secret part 1
Whats the total emerald you received in part 1 + part 2?

 

There's a reason I consider Aldorei's Secret Part 2 to be the worst quest in the game. This is a small part of that reason.
