Assassin/Ninja Help Grimtrap Hybrid

So ive got a build that i dont typically have any trouble with at all, but recently ive been told its "hybrid done horribly wrong" so any idea how to improve this build without changing the "hybrid" aspect?

 

I don't see the "Horribly wrong" part of this build.
I mean only downside I'm seeing is the slow attack speed (I assume ideally it would be super slow), and the low defensive sp, but you have quite high sustain, and well, you're an assassin.

 

People who're saying it's done horribly are severely overexaggerating. It's really not that horrible of a build. I would recommend using atlas so that you can get to super slow attack speed (increases your chances of mana steal activating), and it gives you higher mana/life steal.

 

Oh hey I remember this convo! Yeah highbread was seriously overexaggerating how bad the build was; the only possible improvement I can see is to replace dondasch with Leviathan if you want to trade some spell for melee dps, since I’m assuming you’re going for true hybrid and not just spellsteal

 

https://wynndata.tk/s/3z61fq heavy hybird, you really need a lot of Mana to sustain Grimtrap's massive spellcosts with 2 Mana spins, vanish and 5 Mana multihits (Blind thrust is just such a good damage option, and after the update it's not longer gonna have +1 third spell cost). Hence the atlas.
You can swap fiber necklace with durum's serenity, I just kept it for the 8k spins.

I think someone also happened to exaggerate a certain person saying that the hybrid was"horribly wrong" ? I hoped you'd read the parts which were all the parts where I said that there just are better options

Because why would you use Atlas when you already have the minus attack speed from Blind Thrust? Yes atlas has lifesteal, but then why would you also use Gaze of the Snowbank which has minus lifesteal. Enmity exists.
