Goodbye (for Now)

Yeah, I'm probably going to leave Wynn for a while (which can range from a few days to literally a few years or in the rare case possibly just never coming back) because of lots of personal, mental and social issues i'm having right now.

I'm hoping to actually completely disconnect myself from Wynncraft for a while, including leaving basically all of the discords associated with Wynn, and honestly hoping to forget about it for a while, especially because of how I feel like it's been impacting my life as of now, specifically the 3 reasons below:

1. I no longer actually "enjoy" playing Wynn, I'm literally only active on discord and sometimes forums because in reality I genuinely have "nothing else to do", to the point where any hobbies I enjoy are just shut out (see my third point).
2. Being in high school, I actually have to start thinking about what the fuck I'm supposed to even be doing in my life, which I basically have procrastinated on for way too long (in fact, seeing everyone else's achievements and crystal clear career paths genuinely stresses me out a whole lot, to the point where I'm beginning to feel anxious, and even borderline depressed.)
3. Kinda intersecting with my second point, Wynn is just taking up way too much fucking time for me. I do have slight hints about my hobbies, but I never end up actually learning about or doing them because of the sheer existence of Wynncraft (which is so much more appealing to me, causing me to procrastinate on literally all of the hobbies I appreciate that I could've become amazing at).
4. My focus on Wynncraft is starting to actually make a lot of my irl bonds with friends/family much weaker due to just how much I'm online and how much I play. I'm literally spending more than twice the amount of time with Wynncraft than with family and friends. I don't want it to be like that at all.

Either way, those are my reasons. I know most of them are actually my fault, but that's partially why I want to leave the server.

Of course, with any bad things about being in a Minecraft MMORPG community, there are loads of good ones. I actually used to have pretty severe social anxiety before hopping onto Wynncraft, and after a few years of just pure communication and sometimes judging, it's gotten quite a lot better (which is pretty funny, to me at least). I've also been with a ton of cool people, lots of happiness helping people, lots of happiness being helped, and lots of happiness being helped by people that were also being helped. Wynncraft was just such a great place to be for a few years, but now is the time that it's just becoming overbearing.

With every departure, there's going to be people to thank. I gotta thank a huge heap of people for making my experience on Wynncraft so wonderful, tolerating the absolutely stupid shit I throw out in discord, supporting me when I have troubles, listening to my awesome experiences (and my horrible ones), and making fun of my builds.

My final message: Wynncraft is literally just an MMORPG inside a funny block game. If you're making unironic death threats, reevaluate what the fuck you're doing. If your goal is to legitimately offend someone, reevaluate what the fuck you're doing. If you feel like Wynn is starting to take over your life too much, take a break. Just remember that Wynncraft is just something made to entertain you, and if it ever feels like it's not doing that anymore, it's time to reconsider what you're doing.

kind of at a loss for words here, considering how active you are (were? :sob) in the community, but all good things come to an end.
i hope that one day circumstances can allow you to come back, though. you definitely made a positive impact on the community, and you will be missed.

obviously, put your personal needs first, but i hope that you don't completely cut yourself off from the people in the community. how else can i flame your builds?
seriously though, take the time you need to get your priorities straight, and if something that you do for fun isn't fun, then you are being perfectly reasonable in discontinuing it.
