Community Event Wars Of Wynn Detail Thread

Hello everyone, and welcome to the last Wars of Wynn thread before the game begins! Just a few notices before we get to rules, characters etc.

1) The game will be held in the forum games section of Nemract’s Bar. Either keep a look out there, or follow me to see when it releases! You can always unfollow later, of course. The thread will be released around September 1st.


2) There won’t be a discord server for the event. Most of you didn’t mind where it was going to be held, plus I’m already admin on the lore discord server, so being admin on two would be a bit hectic.


3) Finally on the notices front, I want to just remind you that this is going to be a game, so if you would all try and help it run as smoothly as possible that’d be great!

Spoiler: Conduct

Here are some basic rules which everyone, spectator, character, or otherwise, MUST follow. These will also be posted in the game thread so that everyone can see them.

1) If you are not playing as a character in the game, you must put “SPEC: [message]” if you reply to the official thread (not this thread, the one which the game will be hosted in).


2) Stay in character! If you are a character I will have sent you a personalised message that will contain more info about your character and some info that only you know (in some cases)!


3) Just be sensible. Follow the forum rules, and remember that a lot of work has been put into this, so don’t ruin it for everyone else.

There are going to be six groups (called campaigns), in the season. Each one has a different goal. Here is some info about all six!

The Traders of the Plains

These peaceful traders hail from zone 1 – the Plains of Ragni. They are getting ready to travel to Detlas to sell their wares. However, Nivla Forest stands in their way, and they must fight through spiders and webs to get to the safe haven of Detlas’ markets. Even there, there will be many other factions trying to get them as allies, for they are an easy way to get resources if war breaks out between nations.

The Bandits of the Dunes

Outcast from society for their acts of thievery and treachery, these men roam the deserts and the mesa which stretch to the north of Wynn. They have no honour, but this makes them dangerous to fight, because they have no rules and no limits. They want to obtain the Emperor’s sceptre from a vault in Almuj, but the other factions, in particular the Port Rangers, would die before they saw an item of such power in the hands of criminals.

Main Goal: Steal the Sceptre of Power

The Port Rangers

From the struggling town of Nemract come men who are born of noble descent, however distant it may be. Heirs of the long line of kings that once ruled in Ancient Nemract, they have protected the coast for many years. They want to stop the bandits from gaining the sceptre as they are scared of what damage it might do in bandit hands. However, they do not know that an ancient enemy has a reckoning with them, needing only to slay their leader to gain ultimate right to the throne of Ancient Nemract…

The Legion of Souls

From the depths of Ancient Nemract, Charon has returned. Fuelled by malice and hate, he wants to cover the lands of Wynn in darkness, using his private army of undead to do so. He also has a more personal goal: a vendetta against the leader of the Port Rangers. By killing him, he will finally end the line of the kings of Ancient Nemract, and then Charon will be “justified” in his quest for a darkened Wynn.

The Twain Loremasters

After the Twains fell to the corruption or to time’s decay, a group of worshippers arose who fervently revered the long-dead brothers. They are led by one who claims to be the very spirit of Dwendle Twain himself, and indeed is very powerful. The group are all learned in the magical arts, particularly in the elements of air and water. They wish to eradicate Ankou and the creature he serves, the impostor of Death.

The Ashen Warlords

From the silent expanse come three beings, who are great in both magical and physical power. While only three in number, they are said to be able to wipe out entire armies with just the flick of their fingers. Their goals are mysteries, but it is said that they have a particular interest in Time Valley, for whatever reason…

Oh boy. You guys really responded amazingly. We have over a dozen characters for various people. Here’s a list with some info about each of them!



Name: Augustus Sprottle (Lead)

Actor: FinnDestren

Biography: Augustus is the leader of the Traders of the Plains. Although he is rather well-fed and boisterous, he cares about his business and the men that work in it. He has no fighting experience or magical prowess, but he does know how to haggle over a price. However, because of the company’s need to pass through the spider-infested Nivla Forest, he may have to learn to use the club that swings by his short legs.

Name: Ristamath (Secondary)

Actor: Sonoda Umi~

Biography: Ristamath is the first female bandit captain in years. She fights with two long knives slung on her back, and carries a whip at all times. She is fierce and uncompromising, but also wily and clever. She is a master of secrecy, and before she became captain she was the most renowned assassin in bandit circles. She is called “the Black Hawk” by some, due to the sharpness of her words and weapons.

Name: Dremlar Seaking (Lead)

Actor: Emogla3

Biography: Dremlar Seaking is the last in the line of the kings of Ancient Nemract. He is the leader of the Port Rangers, and is grizzled and masculine. Behind his rough skin and unkempt hair, however, is a heart of gold that wants nothing but peace in the Province of Wynn. He turned from the idea of his kingship long ago, but he may be forced to confront it again, due to a killer that wants to run it’s knife along his neck. Or rather… scythe.

Name: Charon (Secondary)

Actor: BlueSlimerino

Biography: Charon is an undead entity who assisted Bak’al in the siege of Ancient Nemract. He has now left the Underworld Crypt for the first time in years, for two reasons. First, he has decided it is time to expand his territory to include the lands of Wynn around him, maybe as far as Detlas. After that, who knows how much he will take over? His second goal is to kill Dremlar Seaking, who is the last true heir of the kings of Ancient Nemract, and if Charon kills him he will have the right to the throne.

Name: Dwendle Twain (Secondary)

Actor: Je Hooft

Biography: The leader of the Twain Loremasters, this powerful man claims to be the reincarnation of Dwendle Twain. He certainly is very powerful in air magics, and is benevolent yet stern. He despises the “cult” that has formed around the tower of ascencion, and wishes the destroy the tower and it’s inhabitants. However, those in the tower are aware of this, and are ready to strike back if need be…

Name: Shadow of Skulls (Lead)

Actor: H0Y

Biography: The Shadow of Skulls is a mysterious presence and the leader of the three members of the Ashen Warlords. He wields no physical weapon, but uses telepathy to reach inside minds and tear people apart by speaking their darkest fears. He has had an interest in Time Valley for some time, and he is travelling there as our other heroes’ journeys begin. No-one knows why, though it is said by some he wishes to make sure no-one can access the Temple of Time.

Name: General Graken (Secondary)

Actor: Bluescreen

Biography: “General” Graken is a retired leader of the Nemract Army. Even after his retirement, he has kept the name “General”. He is the right-hand man of Dremlar Seaking, and the chief advisor of the Port Rangers. Like them all, he speaks roughly, but has a thorough understanding of military strategy. Having fought many bandits in his time, he is well aware of the danger the sceptre would be in their hands, and also has the most knowledge on how they fight.

Name: Ankou (Background)

Actor: TrapinchO CZ

Biography: Ankou is the servant of the dark power at the top of the Tower of Ascencion. He holds the keys to the tower, but is also guarding the bottom of it. This means that if they wish for the tower and it’s residents to fall, the Twain Loremasters must defeat Ankou first.

Allegiance: No campaign


Name: Death’s Impostor (Secondary)

Actor: Caulan

Biography: This dark power is not actually death – rather a fake, an impostor. He is very powerful nonetheless, and he cannot be defeated by physical strength. He is the arch-enemy of the Twain Loremasters, and it is certain he will fight to keep his guise and power in place.

Name: Corrupted Rickeo Twain (Secondary)

Actor: 99loulou999

Biography: Rickeo Twain was once a great man. However, after dying at the hands of Bak’al, he turned to corruption. He still retains mastery of fire magic, and is willing to use it to cause carnage. While his two companions are more the silent and lethal type, Rickeo has a fiery temper and is physically strong. He has followed the Shadow of Skulls to Time Valley, and he has been given a task to do, and a person to kill…

Name: Arcania (Secondary)

Actor: _RainbowNoob_

Biography: Arcania is the third member of the Ashen Warlords. They are a little unsure about the darkness they wish to spread, but they revel in their immense knowledge. They know all about every dark spell, incantation, and most of all – potions. They fight with a large sash, full of bottles containing toxins and weakening potions. They are also journeying to Time Valley, but do not know why…

Name: Old Man Martyn (Background)

Actor: Oskhol1

Biography: Martyn has lived in Time Valley for… no-one knows how long. He is a wize wizard with an extensive knowledge of the Olm and the time magic they used so well. However, his life may not stay with him very longer, because fire can burn knowledge…

Name: Asher (Background)

Actor: Qzphs

Biography: Asher is young and foolish. He lives near Old Man Martyn, and helps him to watch over the valley, although Asher has no magical power himself. Asher has been told not to enter the door in the great building of the valley, but he is too curious for his own good.

Allegiance: No campaign


Name: Morga Stealbright (Secondary)

Actor: Dracsid

Biography: Captain Ristamath’s right-hand man, Morga wields a poleaxe, and uses it to great effect. Morga is arguably the best pickpocket in the bandit group, and Ristamath has given her an important part in the final plan to steal the sceptre.

Name: Sandy Sandshoe (Background)

Actor: Seegurke77

Biography: The leader of the Almuj guards, this man has dedicated his life to protecting the vaults of Almuj. He has heard rumours of the bandits’ wish for the sceptre, and has sworn to protect it from them. Will he succeed?

Name: Professor Networth (Background)

Actor: Robbee

Biography: Once a teacher in Troms, Prof. Networth is now the travelling statistician of the Traders of the Valley. He keeps note of profits, losses, and transactions. He also has an extensive knowledge of herblore, which will come in useful if any members of his group are infected…

Name: Admiral Amerigo (Secondary)

Actor: fishcute

Biography: Admiral Amerigo is the leader of the hunt for the bandits, and he has incredible knowledge of the desert. He wields a broadsword, and he has cut down many a ruffian in his day. He is also in charge of the Almuj east garrison, and has to defend the walls. However, he has not considered the possibility that the bandits may not be attacking with brute force…

Spoiler: How the Game Actually Works

Alright, the rules are actually really simple. If you are playing a character, it will either be a lead character, a secondary character, or a background character.

Now, every week, I will be giving out “events”. Characters must choose how to respond to these events, in any way they choose. However, they should make their choice reflect how their character would act.

Lead characters will get 3-5 choices to respond to per week. They will have a lot of impact on the story.

Secondary characters will get 2-3 choices to respond to per week. They will have some impact on the story.

Background characters will normally just get 1 choice to respond to per week. They won’t have much impact on other plotlines, but their choices will affect the characters around them.


That’s basically it. On the official thread, I’ll tag everyone who needs to respond, and over the course of the week people will respond.

Again, don’t do anything silly. Remember that you are playing a character here, and we all need to try and stay in character as best we can!


So that’s basically it.

At the end of the summer holidays (at the end of August), I will send you a PM with some more stuff about your character. Some of you even have confidential info that will affect the story later!
