Community Event Wars Of Wynn: Rpg Game Idea And Survey

Oh boy. With the Wynncraft Lore Discord, the upcoming WynnTheory youtube channel, and a few other threads, I really am throwing myself into tons of projects! And yet here’s another one!

Thankfully I won’t have to be around-the-clock monitoring this one, so that’s a positive.

Spoiler: What is Wars of Wynn?

Wars of Wynn (or WOW), is going to be an RPG game set in Wynncraft. Each person participating will have a unique character, and as I roll out scenarios it will be up to those characters to respond to said scenarios. I’ll get into rules later though.

Spoiler: Basic Rules

This RPG game will be split into seasons, of three months each. Later seasons will only begin if the first one goes well – of course, being the first season, this one will probably have a few hiccups, and that’s fine!

Each person participating will play a character. Each character will have a summary written about them, and each will have unique personality traits. The story will be set in Wynncraft’s world, more specifically the Province of Wynn. The idea of cutting out Gavel and the Ocean was not done lightly, but I think that for a first season we should keep things as simple as possible.

Every week, a new scenario will be posted in the official thread and/or discord (one, the other, or both coming soon), and each character will be able to post ONE reply. This reply will detail what they do in response to this scenario.

The game will be turn based, with turns revolving around different scenarios. However, this will all be covered in the official rules thread, which will be coming out along with the character bios.

When you do the survey, you will be asked which zone is your favourite. Here is an image of each of the zones:



Note that you might not get to be from the zone you want to be, but I will try to do this wherever possible.

Look out for a thread with the official rules and the character biographies. This will be out in 1 week or slightly over.

Look out for a message from me in your forum conversations, where I’ll tell you about your character, and provide a link for a discord if we decide to make one!

Is it finally time to crawl out of the cave that is forum games?

 

Ahem. I concider myself a part of the Nemcrat bar gang.

This sounds intresting. Maybe it could evolve into a homebrew setting for say, pathfinder or 5e? Would love to run a wynn-themed campaign if I could get the forum games gang to join.

We still have room for two more lead characters (having two already), so if you want to play a REALLY big role in this, hurry!
We've been getting a lot of secondary character requests, and we only have room for one more!

I've never done this kind of stuff but it seems fun, let's see how it will turn out

 

Alright! We only have one major part left! The response has been stunning, but sadly there is only room for one more person. In later seasons (if they happen), we will have more characters, but I'm keeping it low this season, with just 15 characters.

It's alright now! I've added an extra plotline with some more characters, and added extra spaces for background ones.

 

No im referencing that he hosts a ToS game but over like a year, not enough people joined to start it

 

If there's still a need for a lead character, can I "change" my role to a lead character from a side character?
