    With the Silent Expanse update Wynncraft broke an unspoken rule of not adding new classes, and with it has opened the possibility of more classes getting added, so I pose a question to everyone. Should more classes get added? and if so, what new class would you like to see?

    I personally would like to see a "knight/Paladin" kit, which would use a sword as the weapon.
    It would take some renaming of the "Warrior" kit, but I think it would be worth it!

    In my opinion, not right now. We literally just got a new class, we don't immediately need another one. There are plenty of other improvements Wynn needs, such as the Gavel revamp that is supposed to be slowly worked on throughout each update (?), and I'd very, very much prefer that Novalescent's suggestion to improve guilds is added into Wynncraft rather than a new class.

    I definitely do not see a new class in the foreseable future. I expect shaman to have taken years to fully develop, from general design and spells to every rare and unique weapon. While I do not oppose the addition of new classes, I do see the huge amount of work needed to make them and I'd rather have the CT spend their time and effort on other things.
    Maybe in a few years?

    To be really honest, the fact that a 5th class even released is surprising. I thought they were going to go the sub-class route at that point, since they basically covered all the bases (except for maybe bard). They couldn't do a knight or paladin since Warrior covered that. They couldn't do any sharpshooters since Archer encompasses both bows and crossbows. They couldn't do anything with magic since Mage was both a wizard and a warlock. No fists, since Assassin has the earth skin. No swords, Assassin covers all the one-handed swords and adding a two handed sword wouldn't be different enough. No blunt weapons, Warrior has a hammer. Axes would feel too similar to spears, plus it'd basically just be a berserker class which Warrior has already. Actually, thinking about it, Shaman is just Mage 2.0. With the base-covering that the weapon skins gave to classes, I'm sure that CT never even intended to release a 5th.

    I think more Major IDs that fundamentally change how you play a class would be better then a new class.

    Maybe another one in a few years, since a new class isn't really needed right now, and maybe something like a ranged assassin that has decent range and spells, at the cost of low defence and damage.

    Honestly, no, I feel like Shaman was added simply because it’s the best at crowd control and swarms (in my opinion atleast, 2 spells revolve around being area of effect) and the ct were like “ok, so, we have a short range high dps class, a healer, a ranged and a tank, now all we need is someone who can control large crowds”

    so like, they’re not gonna add anything unless it’s a useful class, because adding things for the sake of adding them, albeit it might be fun to have another class, if it’s just, spicy assassin or something like that people won’t play it.

    I really don't get your reasoning. Why are you talking about weapons and classes in other fantasy games? I don't think they will add a class based on what weapon the class uses or what conventional trope they're lacking. They're going to add classes based on game design principles. This is why they added shaman:
    I don't see how it's a mage 2.0 other than the fact that "ooh they both use magic". That's why bard is such a viable option to most people, sure because there aren't many instrument based weapons right now, but also because right now we lack a class that buffs others. But I think bard is a bad option, because there are already buffs in other classes' arsenals, and adding a class that is solely based on buffing others is a horrible, horrible idea in my opinion. How would you make a buff-centric class without either making it really bad in solos or really op?

    Anyway, we really do have all our bases covered in classes right now, as far as I can tell. Unless someone proposes a really good idea like "take the knockback away from warrior (that would constitute a buff to warrior) and make knockback-based abilities a separate class" or something, I'll stick to my reasoning. Plus, you would have to think of the pattern of their main attack, the spells they have (to make sure they don't overlap), and much more.

    Shaman has a really unique playstyle. That's why they added it. I'm sure they can think of other classes that have unique playstyles, and definitely would fit, but for now, I think we have what we need in terms of classes. Adding another would just be for novelty.

    So in my opinion, yes, but actually no.

    What was so great about Shaman in 1.19 was that it felt so special. Because it was the first class to be added after the initial four, it was really hypeable. It felt like we were living at an exciting point in Wynn history. I feel that if another class was added in the next 2 years, the value wouldn't mean as much.

    I would instead like areas to be improved, and lore to be improved as well. Of course I'm biased, being a theorist, but I think instead of adding tons of new stuff, we should try and improve older things.

    not yet, we just got shaman. what I think is a better idea is giving a way to switch out spells for others, such as some classes being able to replace their movement spell with a different class exclusive one for a price.

    I've always wanted a reaper type class to have a more magical themed CQC class, though you have a really good point. That being said I think there's an important distinction between weapon and class. To me, there could be more classes so long as they use the existing weapons and just use them differently. People have been asking for more spells since the dawn of Wynn so to me it would make sense to have new classes like warlock who use wands but have more offensive spells or an Arbalester who uses bows but have much heavier, slower spells.

    In my opinion they should add 6th class but in very far future. Why? Because 6 is even number and 5 classes don't fit in Bob's memorial fireplace (https://imgur.com/a/sHO0odp).

    Anyway, we don't need more than 6 classes but 5 is still enough.
