Hm, cool! I'm not sure if this'll make keys less annoying to get (sad no friends noises) but on the offchance that someone DOES have friends, they'll need less keys total.
I hope that the chance to get mythics isn't 1 in 100000 considering the wording says "VERY inefficient" while lootrunning already requires a ton of time. Really, I'm just happy for any alternative to lootrunning to get gear (including mythics) since, well... it really isn't that exciting.
Anyway, good stuff, looking forward to this!

Rune chance making it so that people don't have to grind runes for keys as much seems like a great choice.
Mythic chance seems… questionable if the chance is even lower than it is for lootrunning. But I won't put a hand in that fire.

Token chance though.
Let's talk about token chance.
In wynn, tokens are used for two things In dungeons for opening doors and for getting specific items as a reward. (royal token of gratitude, Legendary Island, the Hive)

That means that we'll likely get forgery items which we can buy with the tokens. Seperate from the dungeon-specific items. Which is pretty hype.

not sure how much of a difficulty spike "a bit" is, but this seems like it could be problematic if a lvl 70 player and a lvl 100 player both enter the decrepit sewers. Unless it scales damage and defense based on the level of the person attacking it/it attacks. Which would be really cool.

Also huge applause to Wynn seeing how dungeon bombs work, having it as a relatively big source of income and still thinking that it isn't what's best for the game so they make it easier to enter without dungeon bombs, essentially weakening their source of income for a better game.

I think the important part is that these monthly updates break the discomforting silence that tends to breed negative speculations.
Even if there is little to show each month, simply having a small FAQ in place of actual content would probably be enough to keep players happy and invested . I'd recommend doing that when it's been a slow month. Anything is better than deafening silence!

(Probably) Not that friend but yea seconding this. If the exp is significant enough then do take note of the territories overlapping with the forgery.

Town looks like Elkurn to me. On the leftmost part of the first town image you can see part of a bridge that looks to be in the style of the bridges around the area Elkurn is in.

Here's my suggestions for the mythics you obtain in forgery:

The chance of you getting mythic in forgery should be the same as getting one in regular chest. So this will encourage people actually playing the game instead of just loot running 24/7.
To fix the possible deflation of mythics, make it so that mythics obtained from forgery cannot be traded. Similar to how you can obtain an untradeable crystal leggings from doing boss dungeon.
This will make it so that there is an incentive to collect all the mythics while playing the game.

 

Very epic, I'm hoping this change to dungeons will synergise well with the quality of life changes coming to level 70+

Some level 70-85 areas are really underappreciated and "hated" just because they require actuall effort, not just holding down the W and sprint key for hours on end.

*cough cough canyon of the lost cough cough* like come on guys map.wynncraft.com exists for a reason

 

Can you guys just please do like a bug fix so my mage that's trapped in journey further for 5 months now can be free? I heard the bug was already fixed just hasn't been updated yet.
