Info Item Team Thread - Item/ingredient/major Id Changes, Updates & More

This might be a bit wild, but what if Renda Langit, instead of giving -spellcost, just increased the effectiveness of the 2nd spell through a major id (25%?)

25% velocity for everyone except mage, 25% tp distance boost for mage

Could be interesting to play with?

Question/Point of discussion:

Are mythic boots intended to be on a similar level of power as mythic weapons?

Not necessarily, it should be how unique mythic is suppose to be but the power level doesn't have to be on par with mythic weapons because it would be too hard to balance.
That's why they said they don't want to make any other mythic armor

just from the names, feels weird that its jh is beaten by booster plate. swap them maybe? pre cool item otherwise, i'm assuming it's gonna be a cool twa option

• nice, nonrestrictive t/w mana damage option (in the sense that it doesnt block out specific trielementals)
• mobility for etw!!!
• also mana regen for etw, could see it being used with new caesura
• nice to have a good chestplate option for water (formerly... there really wasnt other than possible t-rift)

overall nice

 

reqs seem a bit high imo, but I have to agree it does look rather nice

 

So this is immensely powerful and I hope you're aware of this, it seems to be beating out even Sine. From the building I've done, it basically gives any current thunder builds that heavily rely on mana steal to do their things (you know, the generally harder approach to spellspam and therefore usually rewarded with more damage) the option to get roughly the same (occasionally even higher) damages. Mana regen chestplates are pretty sad when they have to go up against Aquarius, but this item has an effective 46% spell damage on thunder/water, which is only beaten by Time Rift and Discharge and tying Starglass' damage (remember when we were worried about that being too powerful?), with a massive base 2 mana regen. And it has some nice skill points. And it has the best jump height on any armor piece. And it has really nice health (which is okay, because it's a legendary, but certainly doesn't help for a penalty). It feels like the downsides are the elemental defenses (which matter to some extent considering the best thunder damage items usually have negative earth defense, but still, it's better than Soul Signal and Discharge in that part). And the reqs are.. only keeping it out of abuse range for rainbow, really. Good thing it does that, but otherwise you were already using items like Sine, Shaggy Boots, Struggle and maybe Aphyxia, Neuron or Leictreach Makani, so the requirements end up being really not a problem to meet.

I know it's a legendary and I know it's probably supposed to be massively meta, but are you sure about this item?

I think some combination of harsher ele defs, a little bit worse requirements and a small nerf to spell damage or skill points is probably fair.

but 10sp is already mediocre ish, i'd cut the sp altogether if it's being nerfed at all
would be more concise than having +4/+4 or something stupid-looking, given that it's a lv98 legendary

 

okok item changes? COOL. new items? COOL. but can we talk about how badly this thread is formatted

it is so hard to find up coming changes that i actually care about cause its dumped at the bottom of all the information. i dont entirely care about old logs or discussions, what i care about whats going to happen in the future, but the new stuff is stuffed at the bottom and incredibly hard to find without prior knowledge or someone flat out telling you where stuff is

so many people have complained about this, please make this thread not a pain to read i beg you,,,

 

Looks nice. Seems to be in a good position for the reqs, with small skill points, nice damages fitting to TW, being a mixed mana/damage/sp piece (I'll take the jump height to be a meme stat with some slight relevance to combat - if I'm wrong and the jump height is a relevant defensive stat, I could see a reason to lose e.g. the sp or something). I expect it'll see excellent use but probably won't overshadow anything.
