Come here to post some tips for the game. I'll start.

Do not purchase boats from the seasail merchant, as they cost 2 EB. There is a boat merchant near Tree island who sells them for 2 emeralds each.

If you hate jumpscares, skip House of Twain and A Grave Mistake

If you ever need something that you can't be bothered to collect yourself for a quest, use the exchange system on the market to order that item. Next time somebody sells that item, you will get it as long as you're at the front of the line

If you need to have better stat effects/elemental damages, use potions frequently or in situations where they would be useful.

Pay close attention to the chat during battles against the Eye because at phase 3 onwards he can summon Deathknell wretches which can kill you very quickly if you don't kill it within 10 seconds

Then also skip beyond the grave. I jumped when krolton jumpscared me.

If it's your first playthrough don't just grind. Expereience the quests as they are the best part of the game.

During dungeons like undergrowth ruins and fallen factory lower your graphics settings to the lowest possible.

    low level builds do matter.

yes, they don't matter as much as higher level builds, but having a good low level build is still crucial to stay in line with gameplay, as there are still formidable bosses out there. Sure, you can just "slap morph", but on a first playthrough, being told to just slap a set that does everything for you is quite boring (unless you genuinely do not want to build and just want to play the game without thinking too much about items).

explore every once in a while.

exploring is in no way detrimental to your experience. maybe you might find some secrets along the way?

don't come with the mindset of "powerleveling" on your first playthrough.

pretty simple, just don't think too much about powerleveling. It definitely makes your playthrough a lot less fun, less about the experiences you had along the way and more about the funny number next to your name. Not to mention, you'll definitely be a poor, poor, man when you get to 100.

don't do professions on a first playthrough unless you're ready for a grind.

Professions are cool, you can craft your own stuff and that in itself can get quite nifty, but it's completely optional. even without crafteds, you can make extremely good builds. The long grind will probably distract you from the main part of the game; quests/dungeons, and it'll just be a lot less enjoyable once you reach higher levels in crafting.

anyways that's all i thought of right now

tbh that one is pretty mild and the rest of the quest is worth it

you get blindness in a labyrinth, disc 11 plays and there's a jumpscare that's arguably scarier than everything you mentioned

I experimented with walk speed items throughout my first playthrough, and I had so much fun doing it! Builds are a ton of fun to experiment with.

I know you have to grind a bit. I was just saying experience the whole game and don't just rush to level 105
