Art Wynncraft Map

I recreated the Wynncraft Map in an RPG style in a top-down perspective.

Some notable areas include:

• Eltom is themed after a 50s dinner city with balloon drive-ins.
• Detlas returns to its former glory now with the Big Ben clock and less poverty.
• Ragni Coast has cute crabs looking at each other (maybe in the future @Ligua_999 can animate them uwu)

A lot of the locations were inspired by tasks in a minigame I created for my guild Farplane. For example, Eltom is themed like it is because there's a task for celebrating birthdays there. Or, Olux has donkey stables because of another task called "Shrek's Donkey".

• The line of people in boats near Nemract is for the task "Boat Party"
• The player guiding Nibbles all the way from Detlas in the Pigmen Valley is for the task "Wybel Kingdom"
• The Nodguj nation has a player standing in one of the 5 small islands for the task "Birds Eye-View"
• There is a Tavern between Rymek and Almuj for the task "Bandit Movement"
• The Canyon of the lost was designed as a Maze with all the mountains, because it is one. I ended up finding there's a difference between a maze and a labyrinth because of it
• There's the abandoned Mansion near the barn of Ragni for the task "Abandoned Scouting"

You can check what the tasks I mentioned are in this imgur album, though for a better understanding I would recommend checking my guild thread! The map is not colored because it is part of the presentation of the postcards shown in the Imgur album. These are part of a minigame my guild Farplane creates, centered around exploring all kinds of locations over the wynn map.

Additionally, @MrBartusek is making an interactive map where you can find said tasks based on their coordinates within the map. @Opisek is also helping with the management of the website. You can check that out here!

Update as of 21st of August: The interactive map now shows all of the tasks for the minigame I previously mentioned and we'll be working on improving the map too. Also, Salted liked this thread and that makes me giddy.

The map art took around 3 weeks to complete.

Thank you! Talking about details, I remember I loved doing the ones on the Hylia Lake with the cherry blossom leaves falling on the water and the lily ponds over the dojo area.

Hey, Jaydon! Its been a long time since we last talked (probably it was in Imperial). Glad to see you again!

I did exclude that path in particular because I didn't want two bridges to be too near to each other. And, since the river was completely horizontal to the position of the east entrance, I would have had to move the river. It was a form over function kind of situation, so I decided the bridge where the broken bridge in almuj is, would serve enough to connect to the nemract side.

Eyyy I'm glad someone noticed and mentioned multiple locations; at least since I pride my map in the vast locations it features, though, since I made it, I am aware I skipped various of them. You mentioned a few of the ones I missed, but oh boy, can I tell you of the many others I excluded in Gavel and various islands on the ocean.

In regards to your observations, you may notice I excluded too the House of Twain area and jungle area. if you check the map.forums.wynncraft.com and make an horizontal line from the jungle to the the path of darkness, you can see I excluded that entire part of the map. Why? The wynn province continent took me so long that I wanted to move on to the Gavel continent
Might be a vague reason, but that's why.

Alternatively, you could take Honeydew in Troms to Detlas (though both ways are fun). Though, regarding the level, I forgot to change it since you can see that on the player in the Nodguj nation, I did to a level 70.

 

Would the towns, cities, points of interest, etc be labeled?

gone, I wasn’t gonna draw all of em x-x
I’ll be revising the map in the future with some additional islands, though.
For the interactive map, I’ll also be adding a couple of animations when you hover and other things suggested above like markers for cities by @Nukewarmachine

I mean no offense, I actually really love this piece (beautiful!), but to me, it's very reminiscent of A Link to the Past and Kingdom of Loathing. Can't wait to see your future art!
