*There isn't enough Poll options for every settlement so I have picked the main-main cities - Nemract is a city but because it is smaller and less wealthy than that of Troms so it is not on the list, apologies! If you wanted to live in one of the smaller towns and cities, please feel free to comment below which.

I think it would be also good if you could comment your reasoning behind your pick, but don't feel forced to!

Since not all settlements could fit, here is a list below:

    In Wynn:
    -Ragni
-Katoa Ranch (I guess would count)
    -Ravine Village
    -Maltic
    -Nivla Village
    -Elkurn
    -Corrupted Village
    -Detlas
    -Nemract
    -Ternaves
    -Bremminglar
    -Almuj
    -Rymek
    -Nesaak
    -Lusuco
    -Iboju Village
    -Troms
-Lutho (counts as being in Wynn in my head)

    In the Ocean + Corkus:

    -Selchar
    -The Ice Nations
    -Pirate Cove
    -Mage Island
    -Corkus City
    -Relos
    -The Avo's Village

    In Gavel:
    -Llevigar
    -Bucie
    -Olux
    -Gelibord
    -Efilim
-The Light Realm Village (Can't quite remember the name - began with a H, I think)
    -Aldorei
    -Cinfras
    -Lexdale
    -Thanos
    -Theasead
    -Eltom
    -Rodoroc
    -Maex
    -Kandon-Beda
    -Ahmsord
    -Void Village

Now I may have missed some -sorry - and spelling may not be 100% perfect -sorry - but if you have think of a place I missed, please let me know.

Some places I don't know whether to count as well. E.g the Squid village under Nesaak.

Personally I would really like to live in Corkus City becuase I find the machines fascinating and I like the hot-air balloons, too; downside is that the Seaskipper isn't there, though! I would have picked Cinfras for Levtus Airbase but that is about it. Kandon-beda was another option but I don't like heights, so the void would terrify me!

I guess Selchar would be my choice since I feel like I would be able to live there without too much worry. I mean, it was founded as a safe haven from corruption afterall.

Due to the corruption’s presence, any of the Wynn towns/cities feel pretty... eugh. In Gavel, Llevigar is a city-scaled bomb and Ahmsord nicely gives you the possibility of falling into the neverending void. Cinfras seems to be the 2nd best option from the poll, however, Selchar got first place mainly due to being less “crowded” in a way.

Oh, and Corkus unfortunately has an AI rebellion which isn't really that great...

Well until Santa makes it all corrupted, which I think is in the next 30 years, but apart from that good reasoning. Though, you have to think about all the protection that the settlements have - a fair few have their own walls, golems and armies so I think it would be mostly safe from some of the threats you mentioned.

Even with the chance of falling in the void i feel like ahmsord would be safe to live in, because of the void nothing can reach you making the only threat you would encounter is the void which can be avoided by being careful

Probably Ragni or Troms, they look quite safe
ocean isnt safe from corruption (Skien's islands can be good example)
Gavel dislike humans and living in Eltom would be scary and boring at the same time

Efilim, it's far from the Decay and it's nice and humble and mostly doesn't get into much trouble (other than the potential drug dealers, which may not be a bad thing...) Oh and it also is the only settlement with elves that aren't supremacist assholes and can actually cooperate with villagers.

None of them. Before I know it some adventurer is going to slaughter me in order to test out their new weapon. I'd rather be safe in Fruma, where there's no war.

Ragni: Undead are right at its gates, invading every second of every day. At least it's well guarded, since the King lives there.

Detlas: The gates to literal hell dwell about a few hundred meters from the city, there are deadly mooshrooms roaming the plains doing god knows what. However, it is the safest city, since endgame players will not let it fall.

Almuj: It's really hot and dry. There's not even any upsides.

Nesaak: It's really really cold, except there are wolves ready to tear you to shreds, and frozen undead reside there which may or may not be worse than normal undead.

Troms: The undead and forest dwellers live in the jungle right outside. However, it's extremely well-guarded, and the temple of legends is there.

Llevigar: The biggest, richest, and prettiest city. However, the mechanical systems inside are a mess, and there are orcs right outside.

Olux: The second worst city, has pretty much nothing to show for it.

Gelibord: The worst city, werewolves and dark spirits live around them and frequently invade.

Cinfras: Guild hall is right there, endgame adventurers hop through Cinfras to get to gavel through the Detlas airships, a very large city.
No downsides! Plus the light forest is right outside, which can dispel the darkness. Probably a safe haven.

Thanos: Guarded by dwarves, which is something. However, magma creatures and mythical monsters live right outside, plus they live underground. Also, there's a dragon sleeping which could wake up at any second and scorch the earth. No thanks.

Eltom: They live their lives in secret, and the city itself is actually very small. Plus if they ever want to leave they can't, since there are dangers everywhere.

Thesead: A moderately large, industrious city. Coal mining is always a profession.

Rodoroc: Very well guarded, but you can fall into the lava pools anytime and there are molten entities waiting to scorch you. Also, there's a demonic demony demon that the Doguns can summon at any moment.

Ahmsord: You can fall and die at any moment, there are war angels outside ready to rip your lungs out, plus the Orange Wybel lives there. At least there are powerful adventurers there.

Lutho: You're protected by a light obelisk and there are many endgame adventurers there. However, at the front gates there are malicious eyeball monsters ready to kill you in an instant, and at the exit there are petty player-pounding pathogen parasites.

Corkus: The most technologically advanced city, one of the biggest cities, and one of the wealthiest. However, it is caught up in the middle of an Avos war, machine uprising, and an AI god.

Cinfras is undeniably the best option here. Corkus could also be kind of nice if you overlook the fact that it is in danger of an AI uprising or whatever (idk I haven't been there yet)
