Lootrunning is still probably the best way, but some others include:

    - Endgame profs, if you're up to the grind

    - Creating a new class and doing all quests with high money rewards

    - Market flipping (buying items and selling with higher prices), can be very slow though

    - Scrap farming with Ragni helmets. It's tedious, but it always gives profit.

Seavale Reef (east of Selchar) can be farmed for the environmental drops with a Breathing Helmet II. It is slow, but consistent.

Ingredient farming is also another way to make money, especially on areas with mobs that drop high demand ingredients like Sought-After Ore, Crystallized Organs (might take a while to find a good farming spot), Ancient Currency (drops from Shrieking Observers - same as Crystallized Organs) and certain rare mob Ingredients like Elephelk Trunk and Pride of the Heights (requires Dwarves and Doguns IV).

Questing, speaking of D&D4, is also a good way to make money, if you can do a lot of quests really fast, and really efficiently. Requires a lot of gameplay experience, but gives a stack of LE, guaranteed, for your efforts - in addition to (kinda) maxing out a class.

Nevertheless, once you make money, I suggest investing in Loot Quality gear for lootrunning. Loot Quality alleviates the "bad luck" by making Basic, Unique and Rare items appear less often, while making Legendary, Fabled and Mythic items appear more often. You should look for 60+ LQ, which is the bare minimum.
