Who are the bandits?





They are the people living in Canyon of the Lost.
They work as group, and attack people passing the road.

So simply, they must be evil, aren't they?


Not really.

They are evil when we see them as the perspective of idiotic hero.
This time, let's take the other view.

'Why did they become bandit?'

There are many ways to live in Wynncraft world, but they choose to be bandit, and risk their life.
Why is that?


First, the simple and the most common reason of being bandit is..

Poverty




As many players spend time on market of wynn and club called 'Mythic Emporium' ruin the prices, economy has been messed up really hard, causing more and more inflation.
This, however, seem to have influence on NPCs, too.

In Cinfras, you can see those NPCs talking this.


When price of the Sword is

320 E


320 Emeralds.
5 Emerald Blocks.

This is nothing for common wynncraft players, but what did they say? 'far too expensive'.

Cinfras is the town located in middle of Gavel, so this town shouldn't be poor.
But 'Cinfras Citizen' is saying 320 Emeralds is expensive..




At least bandits have their 'Diamond Mine' near their base.
Diamond is precious and must be expensive, then why are they still poor?

The answer is no.
There's yet many problems with it.

First, they aren't able to afford high level pickaxes since they are only available in dungeon and market. (Let's not talk about market since pickaxe price is still messed up.)
If they can reach mining level 80 somehow, they are able to mine Diamonds with their T1 or T2 pickaxe.
But this is not easy as you think.

This is showing voidstone as example, but diamond won't make much difference from this.
This is taking too much time.

And here comes the worst part..


5 Emeralds

After such efforts, they only get... 5 emeralds per diamond.
wow, so they can buy one toy knife with 64 diamond gems!




Guess this can't be the way to escape poverty, then what else can they do?

Well, to be honest, you don't really need money to live in Wynncraft world.
They can just be nomad!

However, yet there's many problems.
Canyon of the Lost is not the good place to live.
How are you going to survive from those strong, strange, various monsters?

Also, do you know the human town called 'Eltom'?
Since Gavel is not kind to humans, those humans choose to make their own secret town.
But these people don't have such wealth to create town, so it's still not possible.

What if they just move to Wynn province then? This is not easy either.
To get Wynn province, they must cross those dangerous places : Light Forest/Dark Forest.
They might have enough level but still it's not easy.



So they become bandit, and start attacking people. Just to Survive.



They created their own small village using tents, and kept attacking people.


However...


On Wynncraft 1.19 update, the evil builders executed the evil project called


[The Earth is Flat]

This is the project which is supposed to make players easier to travel and focus on combat, but ended up making outlook ugly.

This...


However...


Stroke the Bandit's town too.


Now they don't even have houses to live, so they've fell in even worse situation.
Yet, we're still beating Bandits because we think they are 'bad'.


We must take action for true justice.

Allow me to counter this post real quick here, because bandits seem to be doing just fine.
Like, take Rymek for example. That's a town LITERALLY RAN by Bandits, and they seem to be vibing. Not only that, but they frequently scam new players by telling them they "only use gold" as their currency but then exchange gold for emeralds! If anything, the only person more rich than them is that asshole in Ternaves that sells you horses or whatever, because that guy is a twat.

Not only that, but this absolute loner chad

has Deadeye, the most overpowered weapon in the entire game, all things considered. But I can give this a pass, since it's a revolver and thus has good fashion.

And need I remind you of the boss Wynn never wants you to see...

So yeah, most Bandits are doing just fine not sure what the hell you're on.

Besides, let's take this into consideration.
The Bandits you are referring to took it upon themselves to commit an unforgivable sin. They deserve to rot in the bottomless pits of the abyss with no hope of ever escaping for their actions.
Why must such a cruel fate come upon them, you ask?
Well, just look at the weapon.

Notice this? It's known as a "cannonarm". In a fashion sense, this would be good, and I would applaud the bandits for such fashion despite their condition. But there is a problem with using a cannonarm, ya know. It shows you have support for the forsaken one:

Sure, Redbeard is holding a dagger for whatever reason...

but we know better, don't we?

There is no excuse for such deeds. You die using the cannonarm, and trust me, I will make sure of that.

Also grind spot sucks now so I don't care anyways.
If people are genuinely killing these bandits then they're misinformed.
Please buff the level 80 grind spots because they're all bad just the cannonarms are the worst.

you raise good points, but note that all the prosperous bandits you refer to are from the Wynn province, separate from the original post's bandits of the Gavel province. as Gavel is known as the prosperous continent, living expenses are obviously higher. this is shown in op's post with a sword costing 5eb, along with the bandits having no viable money making methods besides banditing.

the Rymek bandits have a proper establishment based on a money-fueled business. as a low-level town, their business must be booming with naïve noobs flowing in daily. another point to make is the geographical location of Rymek. it has an easy route to civilization (Detlas, Almuj) by taking a lift to the higher parts of the canyon, making travels safe and easy. this means that Rymek bandits are barely bandits, but rather secluded traders, probably living away from big cities to avoid taxes.

in summary, i would like you not to compare the fake bandits of Wynn to those with hard lives over at the canyons. those guys are living like real bandits, spending real bandit hours ransacking passer-byes. bandit lives matter, but scam merchants are hardly bandits.
