Do You Use The Fact That You Can Create Textures Depending On The Item Name

i don't really know how the Wynncraft texturepack works but you can put textures depending on the name of the item. i was looking at the wands that had different random names and the same textures. its a small thing but i really do enjoy the weapon textures.

 

I don't that works with 1.9, which is what Wynncraft currently runs on unless I am very much mistaken, but they can get the same effect by using different durabilities. The problem is, there are thousands of items in the game, and making a unique skin for all of them would take an absurdly long time.

Well yea it might take a long time. Ive modified simple 1.8 textures and they take a lot of time. I know how long theese take so it was kinda just something I was wondering about

Also does it work without optifine. I have not seen texturepacks with custom item textures that dont use it

 

Armor skins were a thing at some point but were eventually ditched. They could but there's simply too much shit to give individual textures.
