The World Of Wynn In Universe

So its summer and that means playing wynncraft again, new class where I think I'm gonna build and then realise that you just wanna put everything in agility and get speed boost armour for the fun :]

Anyway, I've been thinking about what the world of wynn would be like for the NPCs in-game. For example, for the game would the world be shrunk down for convenience. What I am saying is that would the distances between towns be bigger, etc. I don't know just though it might be something to think about, especially in context with lore, as there are these huge battles and such at Ragni, as an example, yet sure there are a lot of mobs scattered over wynn but enough to swarm Ragni AND Troms? As you have to think as well that defending a fortress is a lot easier than taking, unless you try and starve the defenders out.

Also the ocean is just a big lake in-game, too.

Similarly, you have to think of this supposedly epic journey that Bob went on when he was training in the classes across the whole province and yet in game, that would only take, like maybe 10 mins at max and that's only walking, too

Another thing I want to mention is some of the wynn discoveries too. Such as Bak'als attack on the little strong hold near elkurn. Couldn't the soldiers just make a run for it through the forest for Ragni or Detlas - though I don't know if Detlas was ever besieged apart from in AHC

Canyon of the lost is easy to navigate the 3rd time you go through it so it's probably way bigger if we're talking lore-wise

 

It’s also supposed to shift around according to the lore (though that may have been retconned)

Also, why does Bakal attack Detlas from the west in AHC if the nether portal is to the south? (I think those are the correct directions but I’m too tired to check)

Agreed, my headcanon has always been that Wynncraft is SIGNIFICANTLY shrunken down. Wynncraft has always prioritized convience and gameplay over total immersion. I mean, if it takes less than an ingame day to run from Ragni to Detlas with good walkspeed, how did it take the corrupted hordes 900-something years to reach Ragni?

 

Wait, I'm confused. How is it 900 years to reach Ragni?
It took 4 years to go from Nivla Forest to Ragni, most of the time was probably spent on attacking the Ragni forces and not traveling.
Personally, I think it might take 1-3 months max to travel from Ragni to Detlas without a fast method.

 

By 900 years, I was referring to the time that passed since the portal opened. If Wynn was actually as small as it was in the game, I feel like the forces of the corruption could have immediately made it to Ragni through their sheer numbers alone.
