Having Trouble Doing The Shadow Of The Beast Quest (killing Bigfoot)

I have a really tough time trying to hit the bigfoot mob (giant) as I'm playing as a warrior. I can only hit it sometimes because its hitbox is broken. I have tried everything like F3+B, hitting its lower part and also looking straight up but I can't do enough dps and it just heals. I tried spamming uppercut and abilities but still doesn't work. If I could see where to hit then I could easily kill it so it's not a problem of my weapon because even I had the best weapon it would probably still be impossible. Any help would be appreciated
